Somebody should give the words for the song on one of these "tabs". Also, chords don't give you a tab.

The real tab is:
X=don't play these strings at particular time.

Verse:
-----------------2------------2---
--2--------------3----2-------3---
--2-----2--------2----2---2---2---
--2-----3---4----0----2---3---0---
--------3---4----x--------3---x---
------------2----x------------x---
Prechorus:
(Play twice)
---------------2
--2------------3
--2---2--------2
--2---3---4----0
------3---4----x
----------2----x

Chorus:
-----------------2------------------------2----
--2--------------3----2-------------------3----
--2----2---------2----2----2---------2----2----
--2----3----4---------2----3----4----3----0----
-------3----4--------------3----4----3----x----
------------2-------------------2---------x----

Bridge:
-----------------2--
--2--------------3--
--2----2---------2--
--2----3----4----0--
-------3----4----x--
------------2----x--

This Is A Great Tab, But To Play in Key off recording Capo 2 and can be played with ease of use with Cut Capo

joshduke - 2004-06-24

Matt plays it Capo 2 while damping the strings. (palm mute) He kinda 'chugs' the strings, which is basically all down strokes for most of the song. That leaves room for dynamics later. The chords are A2 E F#m7 and D2 relative to capo. Here are the voicings Matt uses:

A2 - X02200
E - 022100
F#m7 - 2X2200 (basically an A2 with the thumb wrapped for the bass note)
D2 - 000230

Have fun!!

lad3 - 2004-09-03

hey, good job with the song, but the chords are little bit off. this is wat the chords should be:

A2 x02200
E 022100
F#m 044200
D xx0232

there you go. thanx.

Spirit&Truth - 2004-09-11

The chords voicings posted by joshduke are the exact ones that Matt Redman uses in his recording.

guitargirl16 - 2004-09-23

Hey,
I love this song and if someone could e-mail me the words and where the chords are placed that would be really cool God bless My e-mail address is Hannah_banana_91488@hotmail.com

guitargurl247 - 2004-10-23

hey guys, This song is awesome I play it a ton...i think you can just play it
G, D, Em, C over and over again throughout the song and it fits, it may not sound quite as good as it does other ways that are more intricit, but this is a nice easy way that sounds pretty good to me. hope ya like!

Good tab, i like playing this song in the key of G, probably cause that's what sounds best with my voice.

V: G D Em Cadd9 PreC: G Dsus4 Em7 Cadd9 C: G Dsus4 PostC: G Dsus4
G D G Dsus4 Em7 Em7 Cadd9 Em7 Cadd9
Cadd9 Cadd9 G Dsus4 G Dsus4
G D Em Cadd9 Em7 Cadd9 Em7 Caddo

Cadd9
G- 320033 D- xx0232 Em- 022000 Cadd9- x32033 Dsus4- xx0233 Em7- 022030
maybe this one will help someone out

tecumsasherman - 2005-01-04

sorry that submission messed up the format

Chad_mcginnis - 2005-01-06

I just joined a new band and this was the first song they showed me this is exactley correct A E F#Minor D then A E D so this tab is one correct way to play it as found on the revivel in belfest CD played by robin mark from what i was told -redmen from what i hear wrote the song
We played along with the CD and this is how they play it on the above mentioned CD God Bless

kimbochica - 2005-01-08

Could someone please email me the words along with where the chords come in? I'm new at playing guitar and it's hard for me sometimes to figure out exactly how it goes. Thanks!

7thDayBassman - 2005-03-01

great tab, too many wasy to play it but they really are all the same thing. but anyways its great song i want get the YG band im in to play it.

N2HiMguitar33 - 2005-03-01

I have the sheet music for the song, and the original is right, all except for the F#m's should be F#m7, which is
e-0
B-2
G-2
D-2
A-x
E-2 (i find it easiest to play it either as a barre chord, and leaving off the high e, or to use my thumb for the 6th string and to mute the 5th string.
P.S. Capo on fret 2

Spirit&Truth - 2005-03-03

I think Matt Redman does F#m as 2x2200, as someone else posted above.

shongsta - 2005-03-11

Yes F#m7 is actually 2x2200...and the way it is posted above like A2, E, F#m7, and D2 with palm muting is correct. You palm mute for the verse and just strum for chorus. Great tab though, i love it!

Azalon - 2005-04-17

So for those of you keeping score at home (or those of you who, like me, need music for a keyboardist) the chords on GUITAR are, relative to capo 2:

A-E-F#m7-D

What people will actually hear (or what your keyboardist will play) is this:

B-F#-G#m7-E

Enjoy.
