Randy

mmggppmgp - 2004-07-17

C works well, but the original C chord is C9

mmggppmgp - 2004-07-18

but its awesome

cwardle - 2004-08-24

That D / F# would be better played as a 200233

gcat1486 - 2004-08-27

woudn't that be a Dsus/f#?

lad3 - 2004-09-03

Yes that would be a Dsus/F#.

GLO28 - 2004-09-28

hey i think the song sounds better with the chords G/B C2 G D/F# in the first part of the verse ,and then the rest of the verse is the same except now the chord G/B changes to a EM...

sgarlata2000 - 2005-01-03

hey I think the verse is this:
G C2 G D/F#
Em7 C G D/F#(a D2 or D wouldnt sound too bad)
Em7 C2 G D/F#
Em7 C G D

And in between the Verse it goes
D D2 D
And I will lift My----y Voice

Thanx guys, god bless
Tim

musicianfreak - 2005-01-21

when playing the D/F# its more like a 200230 or played as xx4230

musicianfreak - 2005-01-21

and i like the Cadd9 better better that chord sounds so good with that song 032033

David wood - 2005-04-20

when u play D/F# 200232
^
use thumb

Kutless Fan - 2005-05-26

You can also play the D/F# chord like this: xx4232

guesswhoiam - 2005-06-19

the tab is pretty good, but i found a couple mistakes in the solo.

on the first part of the solo, instead of hittind the D(on the 10th fret) twice in a row, hit it once, and then do a hammer on from the 7th fret, to the 10th fret. also, at the end, instead of a 18/19 hammer-on, try a 17/19 hammer on.

sgarlata2000 - 2005-07-22

Just to make it clear the way they play the D is a D/F# played

i just started using this web site and i have been playing for a while and me and a few of my buddies put together a praise band and this site will do us good but i do have a suggestion on the solo i think its more lik tis and easier to play by the way great song and tab our band plays medly

e---------12/15h-----12---------------------------12/15h--12-15--17/19sl
b---12-15--------------15-12/15h------------12-15-----------------------
g-----------------------------------------------------------------------

h= hammer on
sl= slide

krazee07 - 2005-07-26

I think the solo sounds a lot closer if it's played like this:

e|---7--10--12/15---12--10--7/10-------7--10--12/15--12--15--17/19
b|----------------------------------------------------------------
G|----------------------------------------------------------------
D|----------------------------------------------------------------
A|----------------------------------------------------------------
E|----------------------------------------------------------------

Tell me what you think...

litaichi - 2005-08-07

I know this is out of context but to make any songs sound good, just play them on a $3000 guitar. =) Hope that helps! This song sounds better with my friend's guitar than mine, using the same chords/strumming patterns so...hope that helps. =)

theophilus502 - 2005-09-24

Your Chords Are Right, But That's Not The Way I Play The Solo.
It's Basically An Arpeggio Taken From The E Chord 6th Fret.
Still It's An Awesome Song. Keep It Up! :) ><>

CrimsonFlood371 - 2005-12-17

Hey the solo I play to this is
e-------12h15--12-----------------12h15--12--15/17/--(19)
B--12-15---------15--12h15---12-15----------------------

(19)=means let it ring...
On solo you might want to add some distortion and I use a little wah to make every note come out right...

Thanks and hope it helps, just keep playing for god he will bless you...

andy Jackson and CrimsonFlood have the solo right. I looked up the song like 6 months ago and I was havin problems with the solo so I came back to see if anyone had the corrected version. Theirs sound nearly perfect, and distortion does help.
