Here I Am to Worship - Tim Hughes
E B F#m A
Light of the world you stepped down into darkness,
E B A
Opened my eyes let me see.
E B F#m A
Beauty that make this heart adore you,
E B A
Hope of a life spent with you.
CHORUS:
E
Here I am to worship,
B
Here I am to bow down,
C#m A
Here I am to say that you’re my God.
E
You’re all together lovely,
B
All together worthy,
C#m A
All together wonderful to me.
E B F#m A
King of all days all so highly exalted,
E B A
Glorious in heaven above.
E B F#m A
Hungry you came to the earth you created,
E B A
All for the sake became poor.
Chorus 2x
BRIDGE:
F#m E A F#m E A
I’ll never know how much it costs, to see my sin upon that cross. (x3)
Chorus repeat

Some of the chords weren't in the right places, but they were the right chords. Over all I liked it because it wasn't hard to figure out what went where!

There is no C#m in this song. It should be a E/G# instead.
Maestro_dmc - 2004-06-17
Also there is no A following the F#m, at least not the way I've heard it, nor in the original music.

I looked at all the other "arrangements" of this song and i liked this one the best, whether it was right or wrong.

ok im on the keyboard so dont know if this will work on guitar or whatever but i think it will (i havent got a clue about how chords are played on a guitar) but .... for the bridge I did this. F#m/B, E/C#, A/F#. So on the keyboard that means play the chords you've got there but with B,C#,F# in the bass. Hope this helps someone ... anyone! ;)

What is the fingering for E/G#?

loved it . its hard for me (as a beginer for guitar) to read guitar music with out the words next to them or under them.
love it.

I have one comment, its not "hungry you came to this earth you created" its "humbly you came to this earth you created". Dont think got would come HERE if he was hungry.
Girly_4_God - 2005-04-02
sorry I didnt mean "got", I meant God.

An alternate for this song is D, A, G for verses; D, A, Bm(224432), G for the chorus and A, D, G for bridge. I find this to be a simple fingering, and it's a good singing range...

E/G# is:
4-2-2-1-0-0
but that's really hard, so I play:
4-2-2-x-0-0
it's really E/Ab (no 3)
-Ben.
rennurx - 2006-06-23
E/G# is easy to play as:
x 11 9 9 9 0 and then when going back to a use the 5th bar position.
