Just a note: This isn't from the "Learning to Breath" album it'd from the NWTBH cd.

Awesome tab!

spittee - 2004-08-01

great tab.
just, in the intro when it says 4-6-4 its actually 4-4-4
2-2-2 2-4-2
(minor details..:))

perryben - 2004-08-20

For me just playing B is easier than playing the fourth fret of G.

McFly - 2004-08-31

good job kiddo, i think speetio or whatever that guy's name is is right about the intro, but you can decide for yourself

Ssehdrab123 - 2004-10-02

the intro where it goes 2-4 then 2-6 then 2-4 it should be 2-4, 4-4, 2-4 i believe. good tab though.

It's a very good song and I'm glad someone tabbed it out..

Music_lover - 2004-10-13

Can someone please tell me the chord shapes to play this with?plz! I'm new to guitar soo..

Mattular - 2004-11-08

is it just me or isnt there suposed to be a slide or two in the intro and vers progression it might be on the A string 1/4 or sumthin if u want cuz im sertini hear it alot so if u can make it work it sounds awsome.....and i think some of these chords will work for theintro and verse and the pre-chorus E-A-C#-B-A and for the pre-chorus F#-A i think this might work let me know how it turns out

LTBE_SF - 2004-12-07

Everything is good except instead of the pull offs, do slides. Sounds more like the song. Other than that its a great tab.

bv_45 - 2005-01-04

Just to clear everything up for everyone, at the end of the intro it goes like this
g---4--4--4--- where the / is a slide up
d---2-2/4-2---

Great job on the tab to a really great song.

wafflemaker316 - 2005-07-06

Great tab! but that guy is right about the slides - it sounds better for some notes, but not all.

misschicky2291 - 2005-07-09

I'm with Perryben... open B is definitly a whole lot easier than the fourth fret of G...but I think the slides instead of pull offs are only in some places... but I'm not quite sure...other than that the tab is fabulous... great for beginners. Thanks a bunch - Miss

Hosea - 2005-07-13

When ever the A string is supposed to be struck on the 4th fret, you should slide 1/4, if you want it to sound like the actual song.

God bless

EBostrom - 2005-08-04

Yeah, this tab is really good and helped me figure some parts out that I had forgotten over the years. Here are some of the things I play differently, but I don't think they are what Switchfoot plays. It does sound good though :)

Intro/Verse: Prechorus Chords:
------------------------------------- -0-0-0-0-
------------------------------------- -0-0-0-0-
---1----2p1-----4-----4------2p1----- -3-6-1-2-
----2--2---2----------------2---2p(2) -4-7-2-2-
--2---0------1/4-(4)-2-(2)-0-----h(2) -4-7-2-0-
-0----------------------------------- -2-5-0-0-

The notes in () are hit very lightly (almost muted) to keep up with the rythym. I like to lightly strum the prechorus, so I have included the chord shapes I like to play.

QuakerGrapes - 2005-11-12
