Bendy Line from Mercury
by Prayer Chain/Steve Hindalong
copyright 1994 Burning Bus Music/Never Say Never Songs (ASCAP)
Eclipsoes@aol.com
This transcription is by no means perfect...the song seems to use G# and
G#min, almost interchangably, which is hard to here at times. Plus this
song just has a lot of background stuff going on...it isn't made for "just
the guitar". But, here's the best I could do.
Main Riff, played throughout

Opening: G# with Main Tab
G#
Keep it to a whisper,
let me hear your blue rivers flow
my incisors are filed
I really think you are safe to let me close
any wolf in the wild, is a natural danger
G#min
to a child so tender
G#min E
I want to travel every bendy line
C#
from your throat, to your heel
B G#min (Main Tab)
I want to roll like a wheel over flowery fields
Flowery Fields
G#
Beg me please to claw
Fmin*
your summer salty warm grassy skin
G#
should I ever hurt you badly
Fmin
take your medicine, we'll make amends
G#
drink a vial of sadness
Fmin
for excruciating devotion
G#min
and maddening notion
G#min E
I want to travel every bendy line
C#
from your throat to your heel (soul?)
B G#min E
I want to roll like a wheel over flowery fields
B E G#min
Flowery Fields Over you....
Interlude/Solo/Carolyn Colbert Showcase (the solo's soft and intermittent,
kind of hard to pin down):
G#min C# G#min C#
(Carolyn Colbert Comes in)...G#min E C#..ect.
Closing (Main Riff):
G#min B E G#min
Flowery Fields
Chords:
G#: 466xxx
G#min: x664xx
E: 7799xx
C#: 4466xx
B: 2244xx
Fmin: x331xx
You can interchange the B with a 7998xx and the C# 9/11/11/10/xx
*=the guitar/bass during the second verse sticks with striking a G# until
the G#min, yet, the cello's movement plays a Fmin...of course, there is a
G#/Ab in an Fmin.
Please fix any mistakes and such.
