Song: We Were Meant To Live For So Much More
Artist: Switchfoot
Album: The Beautiful Letdown, 2003
Tuning is Drop D. All that means is that you need
to tune your 6th string one full step lower (to a D).

The bridge uses an acoustic guitar but I’ve found that
simply having the drummer and bassist doing stuff during
the bridge instead sounds good too.
There’s a bass tab for this song that you can use on
this site that has the notes for a bridge that would
use bass.

When the guitar comes back in it sounds like this:

E|-------------------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------------------------|
D|--8888888888888888888888888333333333333333333--xxxxxxxx|
A|--8888888888888888888888888333333333333333333--xxxxxxxx|
d|--8888888888888888888888888333333333333333333--xxxxxxxx|
Not precisely how many notes you play, just use common sense.

CHORUS
E|----------------------------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------------------------|
G|--------------------------------------------------4b5b4---|
D|----5-5-5--xxxx--7-7-7--xxxx--9-9-9--xxxx--2-2-2----------|
A|----5-5-5--xxxx--7-7-7--xxxx--9-9-9--xxxx--2-2-2----------|
d|----5-5-5--xxxx--7-7-7--xxxx--9-9-9--xxxx--2-2-2----------|

E|-------------------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------------------|
G|-----------------------------4b5-----------------------|
D|--5--5-xxxx-7--7-xxxx--2-2-2-----5--5--xxxx--2-2-2-xxx-|REPEAT
A|--5--5-xxxx-7--7-xxxx--2-2-2-----5--5--xxxx--2-2-2-xxx-|
d|--5--5-xxxx-7--7-xxxx--2-2-2-----5--5--xxxx--2-2-2-xxx-|

By now you should know which notes go with which lyrics.
The top half gets repeated some I think, just use common sense
but I know something gets repeated a lot.

LAST PART

E|-------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------4b5b4-------------4b5b4--2--------------------|
A|--2--2--2--------------0--0--0----------2--------------------|
d|----------------------------------------2--------------------|
Finish off with fade, feedback, sudden stops,
whatever floats yer boat.
I’ve found this to be an acceptable alternative
to the intro as well:

E|-------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------------------------------------2-----------0--h2|
A|-----9----9b10b9-------7------9b10b9--------2--9b10b9---0--h2|
