If you listen to the intro guitar closely, you'll hear that there isn't just an open chord in the intro:
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 10 0 2 2 0 0 0 0 0 0
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 x 0 2 2 0 0 0 0 0 0
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 8 0 2 2 0 0 0 0 0 0
. . . . . .

It'll sound weird once you start doing this but I'm pretty sure this is how it goes. Listen closely to the song.

wow that got messed up badly. But you should be able to count out the chords. It's the same as this tab just with the two 2 fret chords.

Could you tab out the acoustic version of this song on their bonus album, maybe it's just me, but when I tried this on acoustic it didn't sound quite right.

I think they changed around the positioning for the accoustic version...either that or I suck...which is probably more likely...

I want to bring out three points here...first of all I saw this exact same tab on another site by another username...so I'd like a little explanation of who did the copying and pasting...

second I'd like to ask if anyone was successful at playing that crazy solo? And if you where did you have to change anything?

One more thing...the part I have the most trouble with is..

Yeah, the solo is a little hard to work with, and doesn't sound quite the same, but still sound awesome.

Also for those who didn't know it Peters quit the band. The new drummer 18 year old Gen Ledger is english, but good.
