Artist: Thousand Foot Krutch Song: Puppet Album: Set It Off (The first album) Tuning: Drop B (B, F#, B, E, G#, C#) This is another awesome song by TFK. I love the way it switches from the intro track (Get This Party Started) into the song. Puppet uses pretty heavy distortion. It is not too complicated, but it uses some fast pull-offs and a few things which makes it a little bit harder to play good. But with some experience you should be able to handle this song pretty easily. The intro/chorus riff is only played on one string at a time, as I tabbed. It sounds a lot heavier thanks to the bass guitar, so it’s easy to think that the guitar plays chords. This song only uses the Rhythm Guitar, believe it or not! lol p = Pull off x = Scratching or muting / = Slide up, slide from note to note or slide into P.M. or ... = Palm Muting Intro: (Played two times, same as chorus riff) E |--------------------------------------------| B |---------------77777-7--------------88888-8-| F#|--------------------------------------------| B |--3p2p03p2p03p0--------3p2p03p2p03p0--------| E |-----------------------------------------------| B |---------------77777-7-------------------------| F#|-----------------------------------------------| B |--3p2p03p2p03p0--------3p2p03p00h2h3p2h3p2h3/5-| What I do is I take the high B string notes with my ring finger, mute the two lower strings with other fingers and jam over the three lower strings. It is probably better if you only play the high B string, but that is a little tip if you want to make it easier. Pre-Chorus Chorus (Ends with some strange fade out) Great song. I sometimes like to play the riffs one octave lower as a variation and if you do that then it is centred on the chords of the 2nd and 3rd frets on the low B string. That is just a variation tip though, it is not how it is played. Hope you will enjoy this tab! God Bless, Daniel
