Submitted by: tullyFirst the Chords, then the explanation:
Intro: B A E
Verse:
B A E
B A E
B A E
Chorus1 and Chorus 2:
E A C#m
E A C#m
Obviously, what makes their music so interesting is
what they do with the chords.
The "hook" line that you hear at the beginning is
played on the top three strings. The "B" and "A" in the
hook line are minors, hammered on to majors at 7 and 5.
The tab, at frets 7 and 5, looks like this:
B A
--7--- --5---
--7--- --5---
--7h8- --5h6-
------ ------
------ ------
------ ------
The "E" in the hook line is just:
---4--
---5--
-3h4--
------
------
------
The fills are minor pentatonics, sometimes in the first
position, sometimes at 5/7
For the verses, switch to power chords, or the chords
strummed in the first position.
The elecxtric guitar in the live recording sounds like a
simple medium-gain guitar with the selector somewhere in
the middle. But that is just a guess
