I didn't see a tab for this song on the site so i decided to tab it myself. It's
a great song in Drop D#.Yes, I said D#. I've seen them do it live and it's also
the easiest and most practical way to do it.I'm going to label the strings with
out the # cause it saves time.

Wait a sec. D#? You mean you drop the low E to D# and then tune all the other strings a semi-note sharp? Like this: D# A# D# G# C F

Am I right? I didn't know there were people using that kind of a tuning, even less that Blindside uses it for this song! I've got to try that tuning some time.

akaukal - 2006-05-04

yeah that's exactly right! I hate this tuning personally, but playing it in drop D doesn't make alot of sense here. That would mean in the chorus you'd have to jump from the 4 fret to the 1 instead of going 5 to 0. See what I mean? I did see them do this one in concert and Simon played a 5 to what looked like an 0.

akaukal - 2006-05-04

oh and I got the bridge wrong for sure no that I think about it.

akaukal - 2006-05-04

oh and the
D-1p0
A-1p0
D-1p0
I don't understand why I put that there. there isn't a pull-off.

akaukal - 2006-05-06

no i didn't get the bridge wrong, i mean the Pre-chorus.

Dani_Boy - 2006-05-06

Yeah the chords with 5-0-8 frets that you've tabbed in the chorus does seem a little fast and impractical to play in Drop D. It would be 6-1-9 or something like that. It's probably playable, but yeah, impractical.

Hey, what about this? Play it in Drop D with a capo on the 1st fret! I do NOT think it's the way that Blindside plays, but wouldn't that be a simple way if you want to avoid that tuning? Just a little strange idea I got ;) Tell me what you think.

akaukal - 2006-05-07

Haha! that's exactly what I was going to say! I've tried it with a capo before and it works perfectly. Capo's are fun to play with.

akaukal - 2006-05-07

actually a capo would be better too, cause it would avoid the chance of breaking the higher strings.

Dani_Boy - 2006-05-09

Yup, and when you're done you don't have to re-tune it either. Great :)

akaukal - 2006-05-12

akaukal - 2006-05-21

okay, over 170 people have viewed this tab and no one has rated it! Please RATE THIS TAB!!It's starting to get really annoying.

akaukal - 2006-06-02

YEAH SOMEONE RATED IT!!!!

Addero - 2006-06-23

Dude, calm down. Some of my tabs have gone over 250 views without even getting a single vote. Two of mine are over 300 now, and the only people who voted on those were some friends of mine and one guy who I guess was pissed off at me, who voted my Left With Alibis and Lying Eyes tab as a 0. It just takes time, don't worry.
By the way, it's a great tab! 5/5! ;) Good job!
