Michael Guy uses a DM-2 Boss Analog delay on this song. I asked him at a show. He uses it a lot on the new album. He has two delays in his setup. The DM-2 and a DD-5. No reverb that's all from the room. Most of the tone is from his AC-30 and the Gretch's he uses. The DM-2 is also how he gets that sound on From God Above. On Fire Fall Down you can hear him change the speed of the delay in the middle of the song. It has a very spacey kinda sound. If you ever used one you would recogize it.

ClayBitner - 2006-07-24

wowbertmz024 - 2006-07-24

Thanxxxxx!

Celza22 - 2006-08-26

Hey Guys My names Tim id like to know the intro to this song and i want to know what DM-2 stands for thankyou please post it under my request it will be much helpfull. God Bless.

pmoore - 2006-09-28

DM-2 is just Boss' model for that particular delay pedal. You can only get them used now. Same as the DD-5 . I'm guessing the DD-5 is what you're hearing on alot of the Edge type delay sounds where it's in time w/the song. Any delay will work but the dd-5 has a tap tempo feature to change delay times quickly and keep them in sync w/the tempo of the song. What he's doing is keeping the delay almost the same as the original signal and dialing in about 1-3 repeats.

ephr123 - 2006-09-28

I have a tab for this one....

I'll post it sometime...

I'll post the tab of An introduction too...

^_^

God BLess all of you...

jeromeespiritu - 2006-10-02

Hey guys. does anyone know the second setting on the delay? i (with a dd-20) a tap setting for 320 ms...its the same speed for Take it All...but i don't know what the second delay should be set at....faster maybe? cause it sounds like its being echoed whilst being delayed...anyway...if any of you have any idea or suggestions, drop me a message!!!! woo!

God Bless you all!!

LesPaul1988 - 2006-10-10

I am getting the Line 6 DL-4 Delay Moduler, so I can have many types of delays, a tap tempo, and presets. Its awesome.

cussa20 - 2006-10-12

hey LesPaul1988. ive heard alot of complaints about the dl4s...i know a couple of people that have them and arent to happy with them... the Boss Giga delay is sounding good... or a dd6... just a thought... Awesome Tab btw...thanx

Sauleth - 2006-10-19

Haha, massive delay talk! i Love it!

Michael uses his Boss analog delay (mentioned above) through his DD5. Through tap tempo, i have the smooth delay (DD5) at about 300 ms or so, the other delay sounds good at around 100ms, although im not sure what it is exactly. Whatever fits.

I can tab out the introduction if people want it...

Saul

=-)
god bless

MGC has been fairly cheeky in the writting of this guitar part. Because the F#m is the relative minor of A, he keeps the first part the same, so i play it like this:
e------------------------------------9--------------9---------9-------------------------
b-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-----------------------------------------10-10-10-10-12-12-12-12
g-------------------------11-11-11------11-11-11------9-9-9----------------------------
d---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
e----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

frenchy1227 - 2007-05-09

This tab is great! I'll add one thing: If ya got two electric guitars goin, in the chorus let one of them play the chords shown while the other does this:
e-------------------------------------------
B-------------------------------------------
G--9---9---9----9---9----9-----11---11---11-
D---11--11--11---11---11---11-----11---11---
A-------------------------------------------
E-------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
----------------------10----10----10----10
---11----11----11--------11----11----11---
11----11----11----11----------------------
------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
11--14---13---11--9---9---9---9---9---9---- 2x
----14---13---11---11--11--11---11--11-----
-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------

I kinda just played around and came up with this, but its in the right key so just mess around with it.
