I take no credit for the writing of this song -- I just transcribed what I
heard.
NOTE: I'm submitting this because I noticed that the one already here was
not entirely accurate, and I didn't want to waste space by making a
huge comment. So, I hope that this can make it on and help someone.
And, I encourage you to email them yourselves before taking my word for
it, or anyone else's on here (unless one of the band members happens by
this site and contributes themselves) about these songs, since we are,
after all, doing this by ear (mostly). That said, for the sake of my
own credibility, I will reproduce those chords exactly as I recieved
them, then I'll give the names of the chords.
Okay, the intro and verses are actually just bass and keys, but the progression
is basically the same as "Hey Baby" (on the soundtrack to the original "Dirty
Dancing" movie). That progression: A, F#, B, E
The main guitar rhythm starts on the lead-in to the chorus
(the part with the "Whoooo!"s) which is:
Elec guitar (dist)
D D D D D G \D D D D D G \D D D D D G \E E E E E E E xx
Those last two are sixteenths muted with the left hand (as you probably know).
The G might really be an A, I don't have a guitar handy to double-check.
The chorus was accurate on the other page with this song, but here it is anyway:
A, E, F#, C#, D, A, E
I apologize for not having the chords that back up the bridge/solo section after
the second chorus on this one. I'll get those asap.
So, to sum up, the order of the song is:
Intro------(A, F#, B, E x2)
Verse 1&2--(A, F#, B, E x8)
Lead-In----(D D D D D G \D D D D D G \D D D D D G \E E E E E E E xx)
Chorus I---(A, E, F#, C#, D, A, E)
Interlude--(A, F#, B, E, A, F#, B, F-F)
Verse 3----(A, F#, B, E, x2)
Lead-In
Chorus I&II(Chorus I x2)
Bridge/Solo(MISSING)
Lead-In x2
Chorus I&II
Ending chord - (D7)
For any questions, comments, or suggestions, especially if someone gets the
chords behind the bridge/solo section before I do, please email me.
Also I must reiterate, the Swift are the real authority on their own music.
Please email them about how to play it, I'm sure they appreciate knowing that
people enjoy it enough to want to cover it! Take care, and God bless!
Derek
