"Set Me Free" by Casting Crowns from the Lifesong Album.

Verse 1

C#5	A5	F#5	C#5

A5	C#5	A5	F#5

C#5	A5	F#5	C#5

Verse 2

C#5	A5	F#5	C#5

A5	C#5	A5	F#5

B5	F#5	A5

B5	F#5

Chorus (till the end)

A5	C#5	A5	F#5

NOTE: If you're wanting to NOT play power chords, the chords are C#5=C#m,
A5=Amaj, F#5=F#maj, and B5=Bmaj. If you are playing clean, it would sound
better with the full chords, but if you are playing distorted, the power
chords will sound awesome. This is a great song. If you want the riff,
just email me and I'll get it to you. Just thought I'd give a correct tab
to a very deserving song. It is easy to play, so you can concentrate on
singing to the Lord! Happy playing. - Jay

Jay here. One small correction. The chorus chord progression does not go to the end of the song. The "You are free" part at the end of the song is the same chord progession as the verses and NOT the chorus. C#m(C5), A(A5), F#(F#5), C#m(C5). This chord progession goes to the end of the song.

I am really retarded. Correction ON the correction. The correct chord progression is C#m(C#5), A(A5), F#(F#5), C#m(C#5). I believe I said (C5) instead of C#5.

Could someone please put up the fingering for the chords?

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the fingering for Amaj and C#m the same? Or is Amaj different from Amaj7? I can't find Amaj anywhere :(

jprizz - 2005-11-15

Here's the chords and fingerings:
INTRO: C#m - Amaj7/C# - F#2sus2 - C#m

The first chord when the verse starts is a C#m7
(It hasn't always been this way...)

C#m: EADGBe Amaj7/C#: EADGBe F#sus2: E A D G B e
x46654 x42224 x 9 11 11 9 9

C#m7: EADGBe

jprizz - 2005-11-15

Here's the chords and fingerings:
INTRO: C#m - Amaj7/C# - F#2sus2 - C#m

The first chord when the verse starts switches from
C#m to a C#m7, then Amaj7/C#...

E A D G B e

Guitarboy3211 - 2007-01-06

Are the 5 chords different chords or does it mean just to play 5 strings?? Help

guittarzan - 2007-02-08

Great Tab, much obliged. If you've never heard this one live I highly recommend it. There's such a passion in the music and lyrics, and it is very infectious with a live crowd. One of my favorites songs period!!
