The Answer
By Shane and Shane
Tabbed by Ian (theone2088)

(that last fancy fill may be better played by the second guitarist so that it's
easier for the lead guitarist to play his part.
After playing that part alone twice, get a second guitarist to play these chords
with the lead guitarist (strum patterns aren't shown):

e------4--------7-----x-----5--------------------------------------------------
b------4--------7-----x-----5---------------------------------------------------
g------5--------8-----8-----6--------------------------------------------------
d------6--------9-----9-----7---------------------------------------------------
a------6--------9-----9-----7---------------------------------------------------
e---/4-4-----/7-7-----6-----5---------------------------------------------------

After playing together twice, play only the chord while singing the lyrics. The
chorus goes like this(strum patterns not shown):

e----------------------------|---|----Second time:---|----------|---------------
b----------------------------|---|-------------------|----------|---------------
g---9--11--989---8---6--6--6-|-8-|-------------------|--8--6~---|---------------
d---9--9---999---9---7--9--7-|-9-|-------------------|--9--7~---|---------------
a---7--6---xxx---9---7--7--7-|-9-|-------------------|--9--7~---|---------------
e----------999---7---5--4--5-|-7-|-------------------|--7--5~---|---------------

The first time you play the chorus, you play it as written above, the second
time, however, you replace the B bar chord with a double strum B chord
then quickly switching to the A chord. (Just like shane)

So, know you have the verse chord and the chorus chords. Easy as that. The bridge
is even easier its just:

E A

over and over again until you go back into the chorus.

This is by no means a perfect copy of what Shane and Shane play. However,
praise is not about copying the styles of other musicians. It's about praising
God...so, play with you're own style, originality is always good. Play around
with the chords and with scales to make you're own version of this song. Who knows
you may end up with something that sounds even more awesome then Shane and Shane's
recording.

theone2088 - 2005-08-28

Capo second fret (for the intro) i believe

jkim519 - 2005-08-31

No, it's either no capo, or it's cut capo meaning it should be

0-2-2-2-0-0 (put the capo upside down)

yoohoo123x - 2005-10-29

Its cut capoed on the second fret, so the capo covers o-2-2-2-0-0 u can buy a cut capo or the capos that are one side is regular capo and the other is cut

theone2088 - 2005-11-27

It sounds fine without a capo.

theone2088 - 2005-11-27

having a capo on second fret makes it the right key as the acoustic version of the song.
