Live Worship from Passion 2005
How Great is Our God
Song Title: Marvelous Light
Artist: Charlie Hall

At the Passion 05’ conference Charlie had this song capoed on the 4th fret
with the number 1 E string open (the top string).
Standard Tuning
The chords relative to the Capo are as follows

Chorus
Into Marvelous Light I’m running…..
G(5) C(add9)

Em7 D C(add9)

Repeat (1x)

Verse 1
I once was Fatherless…
G(5) C(add9)

These two chords repeat over and over until the bridge

Bridge
Sin has lost its power…
Em7 D C(add9)

Em7 D C(add9)

Repeat Chorus (2x)

Verse 2
My dead heart now is beating…
G(5) C(add9)

Repeat Bridge

Repeat Chorus

Chorus 2 (same as first)
Lift my hands and spin around….

Repeat Chorus

Notes:
-	A G(5) is also known as a Gsus2.
-	I think the C(add9) is played the way it is tabbed below,
which wouldn’t make it a C(add9), I’m not sure what it is called.
-	I think Charlie uses some variations with the chords throughout the
song. For example, there are times when it appears as if he is
adding a note to his Em7, which again, wouldn’t make it an Em7, but
it is tabbed below. I’m not really sure though, let me know if you
        have any changes…enjoy!
-	I’ve tabbed the chords two different ways for which ever way is
        easier for you.

G(5) 300033
C(add9) 030033
Em7 022033 or 022030 (Whatever sounds better to you)
D xx0232

	  G(5)	C(add9)	Em7 or Em7 D
e 3 3 3 0 2
B 3 3 3 3 3
G 0 0 0 0 2
D 0 0 2 2 0
A 0 3 2 2 x
E 3 0 0 0 x

THANK YOU! This will be great for my worship band, because a few people know only these chords!

Perfect! I went to a youth camp in South Carolina and the band there played this. I was dying to know how to play it. thanks!

good chords, just a couple corrections in your notes. G(5) and Gsus2 are two completely different chords. There was no third in the Gsus2 which makes it suspended, but in order for it to have been a G5 chord you would have to mute your A string and not play that A, cause besides that one A, the Chord is just root 5th octave. And that C would actually only be a Cadd9 if you play the open E under it, but then it would become Cadd9/E. But you can make that a C5 by muting your D string too.. those are some of my fav chords right there cause you can change em so fast! and I usually play an Em7 like this, or any m7 chord with a root on the E,

Em7 (fast way)

E---0 (root)
B---0 (5th)
G---0 (m3rd)
D---0 (7th)
A---2 (5th)
E---0 (root)
