This song took me some time and I still think I don't have all of it yet,
especially the bridge and intro. But this is my first tab to submit so here goes

A slide to B
F#m slide to G <~~~sounds complicated but it works just listen to the song.

B F#m G D <~~~~I believe thats it but if anyone knows whats wrong if there's
G D A G F#m is anything wrong, dont be afraid to tell me.
G D A G F#m

The chorus sounds really good.

Your tab really helped me on the intro/verse, but see if this sounds any better...just a few minor changes.

Let me know what you think.

yea man, no prob and thanks for the complement. Ummm now on the intro....haha i think we are hitting most of it and your tab will work great also but im gonna sit down with it when i have more time and try to see what is wrong, but its mostly right.

ok i think i might have figured out part of the problem, i definitely dont think he is playing that 7 on the D string, i think that would make the chord a major chord, and it just doesnt fit at all, actually i dont think he plays anything on the D string, instead try just hitting the 9 on the A string or the 4 on the D string, i think that works out, the rest of it sounds awesome though

this sounds a little better...

Check this for the intro. 95% sure this is right

Got rid of the hammer-on at the beginning. Modified the pattern a bit.

Also, you HAVE TO DROP-D yer guitar for this. Chorus includes pulling off/hammering on to low D chord. Plus, all the slides/hammers make a lot more sense in drop-d. Listen to the D-E stuff at the end of the chorus riff, it's there.

The Bridge is off, too. These are the first two lines, I think:

Bm A G
The cross, the blood you shed for me
Bm A G
Your back was ripped and bruised

How do you play a drop D on a piano or keyboard?

Guitar323k13l - 2006-05-04

you dont play piano or keyboard in drop D you just have to figure out what the actual chords you are playin are then have the pianist play those chords, or if you wanna get really complicated you can just have them play the chords you would be playing with standard tuning and just drop the lowest note a whole step, but that would take way too long and may not even work
simple bare chord in drop D but the actual notes are not D,A, and D, they are F, C, and F so your pianist would play an F chord.
playin songs that are recorded in drop D on a piano, such as in a praise and worship setting is usually too complicated and in my mind should be avoided whenever possible, but if you want to do it more power to you and good luck, im just too lazy to figure out all the chords and re tune in the middle of a worship set.
