Hey guys just thought id put this in just in case you wanted it. At the end of the song when it really starts to build up on the last couple of lines. After the D-E. Play a high F#m then a G#m. Its like playing a power chord D then E then moving up the neck towards the body two steps to make an F#m then two more for a G#m. there just thought id let you know

When the song builds up to the Shout unto God part, it's only the bass that plays the F# and G#, the acoustic guitars keep playing D and E. So the chord chart would be D E D/F# E/G#. As other posts have noted, Joel plays the song with a capo on the second fret, and plays a C2 chord for the D, and slides up two frets to play the E.

Relative to capo second fret
D2 E2
E-3 5
B-3 5
G-0 0
D-2 4
A-3 5
E-0 0

Edmanbob here!

I totally agree that the songs is played with a capo on the second fret and that his plaing it out of C2, but there is also some kind of extra note there.I'll write a tab later on to show u the exact sound that it gives on the Cd. By the way all those who do not know that he plays it from the second fret, watch the DVD.

Here you go guys!

as you can see it is in the standard C chord formation.Capo on the second fret. the 1's are played with hammer ons and pullofss. Have fun figuring out the timing in how to use it.
