I shouldn't have said "that's as close as it gets" because I think I got closer, or at least this one sounds a little different:

That would be great if someone could post the chords to this song also.
Thanks alot!

bbass0204 - 2005-06-27

It's a lot easier to just put the capo on the 6th fret and play this song from the D shape :)

bbass0204 - 2005-06-27

Oh yeah..then the chords for the chorus would be G, D/F#, Em7 and C2

vobafo_player - 2005-07-16

those chords that bbass0204 gave are only relative to capo 6th, the way shawn mcdonald plays it is with capo 1 and a C, C/B, Am, and F. here they are typed out...

what sounds really sweet though is to have two acoustics and have one play the riff with a capo 6th (that way they can mess around with it) and have the other acoustic play it capo one with the normal chords

verse - Am, Am/G, F
chorus - see above

then for the bridge part the chords are Am, C/B, C, F. God Bless

vobafo_player - 2005-07-16

also on the riff that very first 8 is actually a 10, if you listen that root note goes down to the eight after the first part of it.

vobafo_player - 2005-07-16

oh, one last thing. i think there is two versions of the song. the one i wrote is from shawn's newest cd

JCforme - 2006-05-27
