I think the intro does a little play on octaves before going into the main progression like this:

-5...5...

And in fact it might even be like this, listen for the changes (odds are either I am way off, or this is something they do with two guitars that I'm writing out for one):

And either way that little dealey is, the riff for the intro add a slide down in between the D and the B, like this (make sure to leave the high F note in whenever you play the D chord):
