JasonD - 2005-02-18
the intro goes:
Spirit&Truth - 2005-03-03
(x32010) then (x30010) <- repeat
everything else looks great! awesome - jay
Nice job. The hammer-on thingy isn't only restricted to the C chord though... he does them throughout the song:
Spirit&Truth - 2005-03-03
C2: x32033 <--> x30033
Am7: x02010 <--> x00010
F2: xx3213 <--> xx3013
(Also, I think there are some quick walkdowns between some of the chords)
Oops, sorry, he doesn't do a C2 here but a normal C. What JasonD posted is right.
shongsta - 2005-03-18
Its a for strum intro...
eugeneshin - 2005-03-22
x32010, x32010, x30010, x32010(strum it)
Notice that they play this in the whole song....do this in every(let off the 2 on the D string) chord in the VERSE, EXCEPT the F2...
also note that the bridge of the song is just like the chords used for the chorus
luckyducky - 2005-04-12
C Am F G
Also do note as well that Daniel has a tabs section for ALL of the Arriving songs on Chris' site... check it out....
you can play this song in G as well. It's a bit easier to play the song that way.
kleanhendrix - 2005-04-22
This guy from my youth group and I played this and we did a tab part that went like this:
p-diddy - 2005-06-08
And then continue to do that with the other chords. With G, its the same thing but you hammer the B base. With Am and F, you just move down to the D instead of the 3 on A. Sounds good to stop strumming at a part and just play that. Enjoy!
Fedddichese!. Good tab and good job. uve all crosse the line on guittar tabbing.! Congrats!
Fastwhiteguy06 - 2005-06-26
Hey guys this is an awesome song but i cant manage to figure out the strum so if you could help me out id appreciate it thanks God bless
J GUillen6 - 2005-06-28
its pretty close, but on the verse its C Am7 Fmaj7 F2
Godsson44 - 2005-07-14
and the chorus is close too but not perfect, C Am Fmaj7 G C
the bridge is the same as the chorus
the strum is down down up down down for the verse and just move your hand up and down to keep it going for the rest, its harder to explain than to do
good tab though
what is a F2???
Fastwhiteguy06 - 2005-07-18
hey guys thanks for the strum i figured it out but are you sure its a f2 cuz that sounds a lil diff then what hes playin u sure it isnt just F?
Mar-T - 2005-07-20
I play F2 like this:
Godsson44 - 2005-07-20
This is a great song!
Fantastic!!! it sounds great now! this is my new fav. song!!!!! i think that f2 really tops it off
bradleyjere - 2005-07-30
Has anyone figured out how to play the part that is behind the verses? There is a guitar or synth part that comes and goes and is single notes that slide around. Perhaps using an ebow.
brockleeman - 2005-08-08
AS DANIEL DESCRIBES IT ON THE WEBSITE, HE PLAYS AND I QUOTE "VARIOUS EBOW PARTS". SO YES IT IS JUST SINGLE NOTES BEING PLAYED W/ EBOW AND SLID AROUND.
musicman1601 - 2005-08-24
Hey guys I noticed something while listening to this song F2 is the correct chord but not as it is posted. It is
guitarchic05 - 2005-09-18
It may sound weird if you play it by yourself, but try and play along with the song it does sound better. If anyone wants help with chords just e-mail me @ firstname.lastname@example.org thanks and I hope this helps.
I don't really get the strum...great song though...could someone help me out please?
guitarchic05 - 2005-09-18

How Great is Our God
em_rulz12 - 2005-10-18
The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice All the earth rejoice
He wraps himself in Light, and darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice Trembles at His voice
How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
F2 G C
How great, how great is our God
Age to age He stands And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end Beginning and the end
The Godhead Three in One Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb The Lion and the Lamb
Name above all names Worthy of all praise
F2 G C
My heart will sing How great is our God
CHORDS ARE ON THE LINES OF LYRIX THIS THING WILL NOT LET IT FALL INTO PROPER SPOT U CAN ADD THE WALK BETWEEN C TO Am ADD B/G BUT U HAVE THE IDEA WITH IT AS FAR AS THE STRUM EASY WAY OUT IS DOWN DOWN DOWN UP .. UNTIL U CAN GET THE FEEL OF THE RYTHMN ENJOY GOOD SONG
u can play it on capo 5 in G2.. its a lot easier!!
easycheese777 - 2005-10-19
Great job on th tabs.i noticed the strum pattern on the cd is down down down down up up down down up and then repeat. also the G played in the song is played 3x0013.plat it like you would the C just but you pinky on the E string(high) on the third fret and put you ring finger on the third fret on the top (low) E string
guitarchic05 - 2005-10-22
wow that's a lot easier than what i've been trying to do...thanks guys for all your help...i was wondering what do u think is an easy christian song for a beginner?
Johnny Blue - 2005-10-24
Ever heard of one called Shout to the Lord?
c82cj - 2005-11-03
It's one of my personal favourites, and it's pretty easy.
I'm a beginner and I can play it!
Good luck with learning the geetar.
With much love,
Above All is much easier just capo the 2nd fret if there is not a tab like that here I will put one on for you.
ChristlikeMike - 2005-11-07
Does anyone know any other Chord progressions that are really great for Worship songs? i know G C Em D, and also the 9th chords...but i need to know more chord progressions. PLzzzz HELP ME OUT
SoldOut4Christ - 2005-11-15
God Bless everyone
One of my favorite progressions is [A E F#m D]
Tazdax - 2005-11-26
Some of the songs that are played in this progression are
Shout to the Lord
Blessed be Your Name
Draw me Close to You (awesome intimate slow song)
Here are 2 variations of F2
Nciholas2 - 2005-12-04
A-X or 3 8
This chord is Fmaj7
A-0 or X
Chris Tomlin tends to run his songs a bit high for congregational sing so keep this in mind as you use a capo.
God Bless y'all
em_rulz12 it sounds great
CWThomas - 2006-01-18
Hey whats a walk down, and when do I use it in the song???
l Phate l - 2006-01-29

mattphone - 2006-02-06

jim4christ - 2006-04-12
I dont know the song.
How can i listen to it ?
yeah i just play it like this(and ill make this as easy as possible):
timhsu87 - 2006-04-18
there are only 4 chords and here they are in suscession,
this is just a beginers thing that i think might help people that are learning, so if you are just starting this is a REALLY easy song
and the strum can be picked up by just listening to the very begining of the song, about the first 15 seconds and you should have the rythm pretty easy
I think this sounds great, thanks, kleanhendrix!
cheyguy426 - 2006-04-24
(I modified it a bit)
C chord Am7 chord F2 chord
C chord Am7 chord F2 chord G
cheyguy426 - 2006-04-24
Verse: C, Am7, F
Chorus: C, Am7, F, G, C
Sorry, with a capo on the first. ---^
worthship - 2006-04-28
The strumming pattern is what makes this song so interesting and fun. Is there anyway to figure out the strumming pattern throughout the entire song?
jkim519 - 2006-04-29
Hmmm....seems like a lot of ppl are having trouble with the strumming. It's actually pretty simple....well i've been playing guitar for only a year and a half...so i'll try to help out it goes something like this:
maydavidj - 2006-05-17
v v v ^ (rest) v ^ v ^
...or something like that i dunno never tried to play this song. but i like it. lol pretty interesting
I think the tab on here is perfect except I think the F2's are Fmaj7s. I don't use the capo on the first fret. You can play this in the key of Bb by putting the capo on the third fret and playing G,Em7,Cadd9,and D. It's not any easier to play, but it's easier to sing. If some of you beginners are interested in easy songs and stuff, you should check out www.ChurchMusic.co.nr. It's not very popular, and it doesn't have to many songs yet, but it has some really eay chord patters, and some of the songs have 30 second mp3s to help you figure out the rythm.
God_is_Great32 - 2006-08-06
i'm completely new to guitar. and i'm trying to teach myself. how do i play this song if i don't have a capo? can somebody help me out.
GeetarMan - 2006-08-13

rokn4jesus - 2006-09-10
i agree wit uz - great song!! i've seen the music score from P&W in a dif key. the chord progression in that 1 goes:
ddukki - 2006-09-12
G (6 bars or sumfin like that - cant remember)
Verse:(2 bars each chord)
G Em C D
Chorus:(2 bars each chord)
G Em C D G - play the last G an octav higher (A chord barred wit bar on the 10th fret)
Same as chorus, but i play all the chords an octav higher. mute the chord everynow and again ... u'll figure it out.
have fun guyz
When I was listening to the live version of this song, I realized that he blends into How Great Thou Art at the end. Are the chord progressions the same, because I'm having trouble finding the chords after the first "How great Thou art". Can someone help?

DiscipleRawks - 2007-09-21
Your supposed to put the capo on fret one. you can play without it but when you play the song its not going to be as high as its supposed to be. hope that helps :)
