Get Down
Audio Adrenaline
Album: Underdog
c1999 Up In The Mix Music
Justin Holloman (j_holloman@hotmail.com)
Intro: D E7 G D
Bm
Lavishly our lives are wasted
D
Humbleness is left untasted
G D
You can't live your life to please yourself, yeah
Bm
That's a tip from my mistake
D
Exactly what it doesn't take
G Bm A
To win you've got to come in last place.
D E7
To live your life you've got to lose it
G D
And all the losers get a crown.
D
I get down, and he lifts me up
E7
I get down, and he lifts me up
G
I get down, and he lifts me up
D
I get down
All I need's another day
Where I can't seem to get away
>From the many things that drag me down, yeah
I'm sure you've had a day like me
Where nothing seems to set you free
>From the burdens you can't carry all alone
In your weakness He is stronger
In your darkness He shines through
When you're crying He's your comfort
When you're all alone He's carrying you
This valley is so deep
I can barely see the sun
I cry out for mercy Lord
And You lift me up again

E---2-----------2--0---2------0--2--------
B-----3---3---3----------3----3--3--------
G-2-----2---1--------0-----0--2--2--------
D-----------------------------------------
A-----------------------------------------

You almost have it "down"! I tried playing it with the song and it sounds very close, though a couple of notes in the intro feel as though they should be different, but I'll go to the tabs for that. THroughout the song, I can't figure it out, but there is something different-yet it is so small of a difference!!! Well Done... I'll keep trying some stuff out.

ya sam if ya hold a D chord then its real easy to pick that intro up
G(CA) - 2006-03-31
sam's tabs still seem off. I don't hear it drop down to the g-string; it sounds like it's only on the B and high-e. Like this:
e[-2-0-----1------1-0--2
B[3----033---3--3-----03
G[---------------------2
D[
A[
E[
You have to play the open notes on the B-string fast (like eighth notes) or it doesn't sound right.
Also, the chord progression on the verse is: D Bm E7 D
E7:
e[-0-
B[-0-
G[-1-
D[-0-
A[-2-
E[-0-
