During the prechorus section it should look like this:
Eb|------------------------------------------------------------
Bb|------------------------------------------------------------
Gb|------------------------------------------------------------
Db|---3-3--5-5--2-2--3-3---3-3-3-3--5-5-5-5--2-2-2-2--3-3-3-3--
Ab|---3-3--5-5--2-2--3-3---3-3-3-3--5-5-5-5--2-2-2-2--3-3-3-3--
Eb|---1-1--3-3--0-0--1-1---1-1-1-1--3-3-3-3--0-0-0-0--1-1-1-1--
sounds good, except i think the intro is -------------------
-------------------
--9-9-9-9/8-8-8-8--
--9-9-9-9/9-9-9-9--
--7-7-7-7/6-6-6-6--
-------------------
Pretty good job but i think your intro is a bit off i think it's
E----------------------------------------------------------------
B----------------------------------------------------------------
G----------------------------------------------------------------
D---9-----9-----------------------------------2------------------
A---7-5X--6-repeat-4x---7xxx6xxx7xxx--then-2-and-let-fade-out----
E---7-----7-------------4xxx4xxx3xxx-----------------------------
i have a very urgent question, can anyone figure out the piano chords for the chorus, it would be very greatly appreciated, am having battle of the bands and need to know the piano chords (for the cover up song)
I don't know how to do flat tuning. and if anybody could tell me how to do drop c tuning for some of the skillet songs that would be greatly appreciated.
The Intro is
-----------------------
-----------------------
-----------------------
3-3-333-2-22-2222-etc.-
3-3-333-3-33-3333------
-----------------------
no the intro goes like this.
x------------------------------------x----------------------------------
x------------------------------------x----------------------------------
x------------------------------------x----------------------------------
o-2222--1111111---2222--1111111------x----------------2222--1111111---2-
o-2222--2222222---2222--2222222------o-7777--6666666--xxxx--xxxxxxx---2-
------------------0000--0000000------o-4444--4444444--2222--2222222---0-
thats it. my guitar teacher helped me with this song. its 100% correct for sure. God Bless!
First off, I think this is a pretty good tab (black guitarist), but I do have a correction or two.
Ok, I think that EZcheeze has the right idea for the first half of the intro-it sounds rite to me. For the second half, however, I think it's easier if you play it like
(yes, that's the exact same notes as black guitarist put, but its easier for me at least if you finger it like this:
finger it like a "partial-bar chord (put your index finger on the 8th fret on the 5th string, your fourth finger on the fourth string-10th fret- and your pinkie on the third string-10th fret). Then put your middle finger on the ninth fret third string for the second "chord", and then stretch your pinkie up to the 12th fret, going back to your middle finger for the last "chord". It doesn't matter if your pinkie touches the 1st and 2nd strings for the 12th fret, since you don't play them. You don't even have to put ur index finger on the 8th fret, I just do it so it feels like a "real" chord. That was probably kinda confusing, but take it slowly, and hopefully it'll help.
ok, never mind, I can't get it right!
But in response to the problem of having to tune it to Eb while playing other songs, what you can do is tune it down to Eb, then just play it capo 1. Since you tuned it down half a step, just make up for it by using the capo. You probably already knew the logic, but I wasn't sure so I explained it anyways. Now if you don't have a capo, I can't help you there!
There is no capo on this song, so there would be no way of playing it PROPERLY( in this key) without downtuning. With songs like Who I Am Hates Who I've Been, I just play it up a semi-tone. Saves down tuning. If you're doing this in a band, and you're singer dude can't handle the extra semi tone ( which I highly doubt) then the only thing to do is to tune down. Which is a pain. Unless you have 2 guitars. Which I don't........
Mind you, If the acoustic was Standard tuning, then the acoustic part could be this: ( sorry about not putting in timing or that, not really got the time)
e|------------------------------------------
B|-5--4-----5--4----5--4----5---------------
G|-4--4-----4--4----4--4----4---4----4------
D|-4--4-----2--2---------------------2------
A|-2--2-----2--2---------------------2------
E|----------0--0----4--4----2---2----0------
let ring....
Also, if you have already tuned down, and want to play this, like if you're playing live or something, then capo 1, and then remove it for the rest of the song.
Pretty sure that that's right... Not sure about the piano chords, though... I'll ask my piano-y friend... He might know.
ezcheez doesn't have it perfect but it is VEERRYY close...he has 4x but the last to time its supposed to be an octave 1 on e, 3 on d and the a string is muted. and go to 2 on d and so on.
