gcat1486 - 2004-10-01

what cd is this from? It looks pretty cool.

Smitty1213 - 2004-10-16

it's from the Wire cd which just came out a couple of months ago

fivestone - 2004-12-02

I saw Third Day in concert a month ago and was close enough to the stage to see guitars. Your tab looks accurate as far as what notes to play, but I do know that they played the song with a capo on the 2nd fret. I don't know if you tabbed it relative to a 2nd fret capo or not. Good Job though.

prs_matt - 2004-12-03

This is a rockin' song! Good job on the TAB. It is capo 2 though. Simply play the TAB relative to the capo.

Smitty1213 - 2004-12-16

Yeah i was watching the video for this song and he does it on the Big E and the A string for the solo. All you have to do is play the same notes though only on the two strings. Hope that helps someone...maybe.

Sydney13 - 2005-01-04

Hi
I've watched the wire dvd and found that the intro is perfect but it's to high so if you bring it down it go's like this:
e-------------------------------------------------------------------------
B-------------------------------------------------------------------------
G-------------------------------------------------------------------------
D----------------------------------------------------------------9-8-7----
A-7-9-9--7-9-9--7-9-9--7-9-9---------7-9-9--7-9-9--7-9-9--7-9-7----------- E-----------------------------7-8-9---------------------------------------
(I watched where Mark Lee put his fingers on the dvd)

gcat1486 - 2005-01-06

how do you play a slide chord?

sixstringes777 - 2005-01-07

i also got the dvd
he does have a capo on the 2nd fret
every thing is just up two frets except the beginnig
it is the same sorry

coolguy4553 - 2005-01-12

if u guys notice.......most of the songs on wire are capoed

raiderush99 - 2005-01-22

i have the same question as gcat...how do you play a slide chord

Matt V. - 2005-02-02

hey! coolguy4553 is right, nearly every song is capo'd with the exception of a few. a lot of the keys they play in are like F# and B which means they capo the 2nd and the 4th fret all the time.
you guys who are wondering about the slide chords, if you are indeed referring to the begining of the song, it's just a D5 chord slid up the and E5. maybe this will help
chords relative to capo 2
D5 - x57700 slide to E5 - 079900 - it's real fast
hope it's helpful!!!

sixstringes777 - 2005-02-05

here's the thing.
Third Day plays most of their songs
without a capo on the Cd's.
They change alot of their songs
(capo)during concerts.

church-clown40 - 2005-02-10

Does anyone know how to play the soft part on this song?

ramus106 - 2005-03-02

This is how the bridge is played
D|-5- D|---
A|-3- and you hold that for a count of eight and then play A|-2- for a count of
E|--- E|-0-
eight. You repeat that three times, then play D|-5- for a count of eight, then
A|-3-
E|---
play D|---
A|-7- for a count of eight.
E|-5-
I there are anyy corrections on theat please post them!!
God Bless

Matt V. - 2005-03-06

Ramus106, man you're confusing me with all that stuff.
here's the bridge
play these chords relative to capo 2
C Em
C Em
C Em
C Asus2
pick up the chorus wiht D

church-clown40 - 2005-06-04

thanks ramus106 and Matt V.

confederategome - 2005-07-30

im new to guitar so i was wondering if the lead is the part where after he says like every line then it does that or is it at the beginning and what is the chorus (when in the song is it)

confederategome - 2005-08-02

never mind. i got it

Third_Day_Rocks - 2005-09-20

Where's the verse for this song? For the veres it goes: F# B then they do the intro. Good tab though anyway

JesusRocker89 - 2005-11-18

nice tab Note Straight from mark he double picks the intro when played live but in the studio he sraight up picks it so put that in your pipe and smoke it

d_dog147 - 2005-12-20

its alot easier if you play it like this
E----------------------------------------
B----------------------------------------
G------------------------------------2210
D-022-022-022-022----022-022-022-020-----
A-----------------0012-------------------
E----------------------------------------

In this song he is capod at the 2nd fret. so you cant hit that Eb cord in the course.

rockforgod92 - 2006-06-19

Good tab. Awsome song, but I'd like to make a correction.

e----------------------------------------------------------
B----------------------------------------------------------
G--5-5-5-5-----------7-7-7-7-------------------------------
