An easier way to play this song is as follows,
Capo 1
G D/F#
How.... me how
Em C2 D
great.... How great, how great
G
is our God.
verse and bridge are same progression as chorus
haven't heard the CD so I don't know if this matches up with the song on the CD but this is how our campus band plays it.

This song is called "How Great is Our God", not How Great is Our Lord, my bad!

I have a subscription to Napster and I downloaded this album, the name of the song actually is "How Great is the Lord", but the lyrics are "How great is our God".

Hey!! The chords are all almost correct. Just that he plays Fmaj7 instead of F.
God Bless!

Great job! In the chart I have in an article in Worship Musician magazine following an interview with Chris Tomlin, the song is titled "How Great is Our God", as on the CD and in the words. There are just a couple little corrections: 1) the Am is really Am7; 2) the Fmaj7 mentioned above occurs in the last line of the chorus, so F is correct everywhere else; and 3) the end of the chorus and bridge resolves to a C2 (however, C and C2 can be used almost interchangeably, so take your choice of voicing).

its actually....
verse: C Am7 F2 (x2)
chorus: C G/B (x2)
Fmaj7 G C Csus
i got it from... http://www.yourchristianhome.com/songs.phtml?sh=songs&id=1040

Playing this song in G would be REALLY high.

Gods_beloved - 2006-01-31
Do you have the cords for Dmajor? That is the way my church plays it and I can't find the cords for that key!
cjss12606 - 2006-03-20
for dmajor the chords would be:
Verse:
D Bm G
Chorus:
D Bm G A
