Ok, first off, I had some help with this tab, but I figured we needed a really good accurate version of this song,
seeing as its just so darn good. Lol
Secondly, I have noticed that there are two versions to this song, this is the one I have on my cd player,
and for the other one, all you do is play the bridge after each verse
Intro:
E-----------------------------------------------------------------------
B-----------------------------------------------------------------------
G-----------------------------------------------------------------------
D-----------------------------------------------------------------2--2--
A-----------------------------------------------------------------2--2--
D----------------------------------------------------------------2--2--

Verse:
E--------X-------XXXXX-------X-------XXXXX-------X-------XXX----------
B--------X-------XXXXX-------X-------XXXXX-------X-------XXX----------
G--------X-------XXXXX-------X-------XXXXX-------X-------XXX----------
D--7/9-X--7/9-XXXXX-7/9-X-7/9-XXXXX-7/9--X--7/9-XXX--7-5-0- x2
A5/7X-5/7XXXXX-5/7X--5/7-XXXXX-5/7-X--5/7-XXX--7-5-0--
D--------X-------XXXXX-------X-------XXXXX-------X-------XXX--7-5-0--

(Note: you can scratch the strings as many times as you please, this is how I many I please)

Chorus:
E------------------------------------------
B------------------------------------------ Play second Part right after
G-9-0--7-----7--7--7--------------------- this part

SSj Guitarist - 2004-08-13

What?

SSj Guitarist - 2004-09-02

In the Top when I said about the other version, there are two. One plays the order as follows, it was released on their first bunch of Phenomenon Cd's the second makes its first apperance in their Music Video, when the only real difference is they play the Bridge after each time they play the chours, so in actualality they turn the bridge into more of an Interlude. Above I said Verse, I meant Chorus, lol. my bad. Also, please rate this tab! Thanks, & Peace,

SSj

mdhaley - 2005-02-26

not bad man but at the end of the scratch in the Verse it's
D 5 4 0
A 5 4 0
D 5 4 0
And the Chorus is
D 2 x x
A 2 x x
D 2 x 2h5b(6)p2

Mr. Switchfoot - 2005-04-22

in the verse its not a slide its supposed to be like this

e|----xxx-----x|
B|----xxx-----x|
G|----xxx-----x|
D|----xxx-----x|
A|-5h7xxx-5h7-x|
E|----xxx-----x| etc. u get the idea

SSj Guitarist - 2005-08-17

No, it's a slide because you have to play a powerchord dummy

Man! This tab is amazing!! Why such a low rating? I don't get it, this is like almost 100% correct. I just finished playing with the song from your tab, and wow! LOL, I love it, it sounds incredible! 5.0 is what it should say! lol, you know, since no tab can actually be perfect.

thefish_8me - 2006-01-16

yeah, this is hugely underrated. hopefully my five will help

Dani_Boy - 2006-04-06

This is REALLY GOOD! ...for a first tab. It is pretty good. But if you want a perfect tab, this one is not all that near. I'd say it's 60-80% correct. Hard to tell. Anyway, huge congratulations on a great first tab!

SHARK - 2006-04-16

Im sorry but no one has got the chorus right ,well I cant either but on the video the first thing jamie plays is something like this
G9--
D10-
Ax--
D7--
but yuore right about that
-7-7-0-7-7
-7-7-0-7-7
-7-7-0-7-7
