I'm not totally sure, but I think that the chorus actually goes:

G D
Em C
G D
Em C

Maybe it's wrong, but it sounds better :D hahaha!!

Bernz - 2004-09-08

happy_face_guy

You are correct, except for the change back to a D

Chorus
G D
Evermore my heart, my heart will say
Em
Above all
C D
I live for your glory

G D
Even if my world falls I will say
Em
Above all
C D
I live for your glory

Bridge:
C Em D [keep repeating through bridge to chorus]
the "I live for you glory x2
yadiyadiya" bit

BKHelton - 2004-10-26

Bernz is closest so far.
Chorus is actually: G D/F# C Em7 D
Hillsongs uses slash chords quite often.

josh10cool - 2004-11-09

Bkhelton is right, but I think that it's just Em not Em7

trvrds - 2004-12-17

hey just thought i'd add in the guitar two part in the pre-chorus, adds a little spice to it, haha.

B:|-0---0--1---1---3---3---1---1-
G:|---0---0--0---0---0---0---0---0 )X2

trvrds - 2004-12-17

oh and the bridge, i'm pretty sure is Am7-C-G-D

sheldy - 2005-01-21

Does ne1 know the lead guit parts? if u watch the dvd u c Nige Hendroff doing allot of arpegiated riffs etc for the intro, verse and instr, ive kind of figured them out but not 100%, can ne1 help me?

cmaandrew - 2005-02-03

when you say bridge do you mean the pre-chorus? "You are holy...You are holy Lord"?

For that I play Em, F#/D, G

rvaldizon - 2005-03-15

Gosh, this chording really sucks!!!!!

relientkboy - 2005-03-22

Pretty close tab, but I played it at church the other day for one of our services and there's and Aminor in there. Well that's from Hillsong's song book. Good tab though.

bahistah - 2005-04-01

actually the bride is in the key of Am7 ^_^

howtobelieve101 - 2005-04-02

B:|-0---0-----------------3---3---1---1
g:|---0---0--2---0---2---0---0---0---0 )X2
the lead actually goes like this
i christ we trust amen

howtobelieve101 - 2005-04-02

any recommendations for a good united live song to play or underoath of anything else

christian_latin - 2005-06-06

i think bernz is the closest so far. everything seems right.

in Christ..we are succeeders

christian_latin - 2005-06-08

the bride in my opinion goes:
C D
You are holy
E
You are holy Lord

sebozzy89 - 2005-07-21

i'd like to suggest what i play for the chorus:

G
Ever-more my heart,
G D
my heart will sing
C Em D
Above all, I live for Your Glory
G G G
Even if my world falls
G D
I will stand
C Em D
Above all, I live for Your Glory

there you have, to me that sounds correct, try it out and see what you think
Seb O...

dmitch713 - 2005-07-24

We play it the way Sebozzy said. We have for a while and noone's complained yet.

dmitch713 - 2005-07-24

For the Pre-chorus build we play:

Em F? Cadd9
You Are Holy
Em F? Cadd9
You Are Holy Lord

With the chords looking like this(Starting with low E):
Em- 022033
F?- 100033
Cadd9- 032033

Losingstreak123 - 2005-09-10

Chorus is really close guys but the C is wrong its actually some werid C... If you play the power chord and listen you can hear the difference. Also if your playing w/ an acoustic this kinda fills in the chord a little bit better.
Chorus
G-------7---9---5---7
D---5---7---9---2---7
A---5---5---7---3---5
E---3----------------

O and the Pre-chorus Has a G in there somewhere you can slightly hear it... Try Em F#/D then slide to G then C

G--------5- I Prefer the Octaves tho...
D---5/-5-5-
A---5--5-3-
E---2/-3---

G---------------12
D----9--12-/-12-10
A----7---9-/-10---
E-----------------

I can't figure out the right picking, but those are the notes.

JtheGuitarGuy - 2005-09-13

The C in the chorus according to the book is a full Cmaj Power Chord so it is like this:

Eadgbe
X35553

you bar the third fret with your index and use your remaining fingas to hit d,g,b on the 5th fret -
the D in the chorus is played the same way - FULL Maj Power Chord x57775

THewson - 2005-10-24

I play the pre-chorus as:
G-4---4---2---2---7---7---5---5---0---0---2---2---7---7---5---5---
D---5---5---4---4---9---9---7---7---2---2---4---4---9---9---7---7-

And the riff as:
G-12-11-----------11-12-11b-------
D-------12-12--12-----------12-12-

jcrulz - 2005-11-23

Hey guys how are you going. Sorry to correct most of you but I have sat and listened to this for ages. Learnt it cause only the best is worthy of our Almighty Lord. EXCELLENCE LADS!

ok here is how it goes. This is without the 'Open Up The Heavens' Intro.

In the verse you might want to walk up to the C by playing a G/B in between the Em and the C

Intro + Verse
Em C G D/F#

Pre Chorus
Em D/F# C

Chorus
G D C Em D (Might want to play D2 and Dsus in conjunction with the D)

Instrumental w/solo
C Em D D
C Em D D
Am7 C9 G D/F#
Am7 C9 G D/F#

If you want the Solo then just respond to this post and I will add it.

During the " You are holy" build up we play the Pre Chorus but here is how the guitar bit really goes. Try it and you decide whether it is right or not.

E-------------------------------------------------------------
B-------------------------------------------------------------
G---4----4----2----2----7----7----5----5----------------------
D------5----5----4----4----5----5----5----5-------------------
A-------------------------------------------------------------
E-------------------------------------------------------------

There it is they groovy little lead guitar build up. OK That I believe is 100% correct. Test it out and you tell me if you think it is correct or not.

THANKS ALOT GUYS! REMEMBER: God is so worth it all.....practice and make our music excellent so that we may bring worship and praise that is worthy to HIM!! YEH

JameS

davidfong22 - 2005-11-28
