This is an update to my previous tab.  Thanks to everyone for their comments
and corrections.  I've made several small changes, and have changed
the tuning of the acoustic guitar played in the bridge.  I read in GuitarOne
that it was played in DADGAD.  That magazine has a good tab but is not 
complete and leaves out a number of parts.  I've done a powertab for this

the b after the 7 means bend the string it might be hard at first but youll get better at it.

heres how to read tabs
the number (5 for example) means pluck the 5th fret of the string its on in the tab. how ever many times its written is how many times you pluck it.

hey Godsgettogift, to put your guitar in drop-d give your low E string a half twist down. for example if you're playing an A power chord drop the string low enough so that it will sound right playing it 777 instead of 577. if this confuses you, hopefully someone else that can explain it better will. good luck

here godsgettogift91 this might make it easier. in standard tuning if you play the fifth fret of the low e it is the same as an open a. same thing with all of the strings except on the g string its the forth fret. anyways instead of holding the fifth fret to tune hold the 7th fret therefore making your low e string a d. or to make the whole thing a lot easier just get a guitar tuner and tune the low string to a low d

About the multiple guitars

What I said ealier is how they do it live because they can't double track live. Also with the harmonics they do that with the same guitar not another one. Plus tabs are designed to be practical ways for amateur musicians to play their favorite songs. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't record our version of any other band's song so writing in five guitars that are only used for recording is pointless. If your gonna do a tab make it so that it can be played with one or 2 guitars not a bijillion. I might do a tab for this one for 2 guitars later.

BillNukem, if you look at my tab, there are never more than two guitars playing at a time. The reason I had all those guitars noted in the tab is because I made it with Powertab Editor and they correspond to the different midi playbacks I used. I didn't even think people would actually try and play it with 5 guitars. You could easily play it with two, or three if you want the acoustic. And bands always simplify the album recording to what they play live. Don't worry about the guitar numbers and just look at the music staffs.

Chronzerg: When fingering the chord, leave your second finger (or whatever finger you choose) lightly on the "x" string, and then strum the chord. The light pressure will mute the string if done correctly.

great tab! keep them coming! oh, and if you look in any christian guitar book (for example the Beautiful Letdown book, but the others will work too) very few songs on the CD have only 1 or 2 (or even 3 guitars on them: they use lots of guitars...in concert the band only takes the top 2 or so guitar parts (depending on how many guitarists the band has) and plays those
don't know if that made any sense, but that ought to clear up all the problems
