You're going to have fix that last one up. Sorry about that. Copy it into Notepad and fix it there.

Mister Brad's corrections are correct,,, i just saw them in concert and i watched them play that song, but just for the facts thats the only song i really paid attention to for the guitar, the rest of the time i was just rockin out...muhalo

krutchfan66 - 2004-10-01

Dude, can you re-tab this but put on all the strings???

RcKn'Rll247 - 2004-10-13

you only need those three that's all they use.... believe me!!!

krutchfan66 - 2004-11-06

yeah,i no. dat was my little bro. ididnt no y i was on here...

rcman - 2004-12-14

That was great i like the tabs alot you guys are awesome!!!

Track02 - 2005-01-09

Brad's corrections are deffinately off, if you know anything about guitar the 2 on the high e string sounds nothing like the song. Looks like drummer has the right idea. Plus the chorus for this song is different than what Adam K has up there. It should go:

Chorus
E ------------------------------------------------------------------
B ------------------------------------------------------------------
G ------------------------------------------------------------------
D --2-2-2-2-2-2-x-2--4-4-4-4-4-4-x-4--6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6--4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4
A --2-2-2-2-2-2-x-2--4-4-4-4-4-4-x-4--6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6--4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4
D --2-2-2-2-2-2-x-2--4-4-4-4-4-4-x-4--6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6--4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4

E ------------------------------------------------------------------

D --2-2-2-2-2-2-x-2--4-4-4-4-4-4-x-4--6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6--4-4-4-4-4-4-x-4

FallingUpChick - 2005-02-12

Can someone please explain to me how to read TAB's. im sooooo confused!
thanx, ~*Ginny*~

jesuslivesinme2 - 2005-02-13

after listenin to this song very carefully, i heard a slight difference in the begining. there is actually a chord used that provides a harmony. it goes like this

----------------------------
----------------------------
-------8-8-----8------------
--2-2--8-8--2s-8------------
--2-2--6-6--2s-6------------
--2-2--6-6--2s-6------------

and also, to get the full sound that falling up gets while playing, use full chords like this

2 4 9 2
5 7 10 5
4 x8 6 x8 8 x8 4 x8
2 4 6 2
2 4 6 2
2 4 6 2

god bless
(too lazy to make a real lookin tab)

jesuslivesinme2 - 2005-02-14

hey guys its me again, the correction showed up weird on screen so i fixed that...
the chorus should be played with full chords like these

--2--------4------9-------2--
--5--------7------10------5--
--4---x8---6-x8---8-x8----4-x8
--2--------4----- 6-------2--
--2--------4------6-------2--
--2--------4------6-------2--

B-rad - 2005-03-09

OK, track02 dude, first shed the rudeness, in the words of Rob Beckley "love each other like a brother." Now I had submitted my correction a while back in a quick response to those who would like help now. Now that I have had to time to tab it out and listen I have made an exact tab of Broken Heart. So next time respond with love from above.
Peace

7thDayBassman - 2005-03-11

im a bassist but ive transpossed the bass line i tabbed out to guitar and the origional intro is correct, it should be fisrt fret, not open. but the chorus is B5-C#5-D#5-C#5. there u go, now that should sound good.

Adam K - 2005-03-15

I'm sorry B-rad but your corrections sound terrible. I said it as nice as I could.

B-rad - 2005-04-16

I forgive you dude, I have tabbed broken heart out after I went to two of Falling up's shows, and Jeremy and joe both taught me how to play the song, so if you look at my tab it's EXACTLY how falling up plays it, so keep it real.

guitarboy92 - 2005-05-19

could someone please put this in chords? thanks

sk8r7 - 2005-06-19

dude the intro is
d|--4h66-6h8/2h66
a|--4h66-6h8/2h66
d|--4h66-6h8/2h66
P.M..............

onefatllama - 2005-07-06

Thanks for the tabs! after everybody left a comment i wasn't really sure who was right but hey, thanks anyway. You rock monkey socks.

>%%<

P.S. B-rad, you said that Rob Beckley said that... dude, he may have, but he was copying God.

Screamo9188 - 2005-08-16

I'm sorry. I've played every, single tabbed version of this song and tryed tabbing it myself (but to no avail) and none of the intros sounds any where close to right. Nice job on the rest of the tab though.

BlackAttack1287 - 2005-09-09

ok, I'm a newb, but here's my best try.

D-0-4-6-6-0-2s6h8-8
A-0-4-6-6-0-2s6h8-8
D-0-4-6-6-0-2s6h8-8

That's the best that I can offer.

newstyleguitar - 2005-09-09

GOOOOOOOODDDNEESSSSS!!!!!!!!! Im really getting tired of seeing people
MESS
UP THIS SONG"S INTRO!!!!!!!
Ok
Im going to set things straight
once and for all
since almost no one seems to get this intro correct
First of all, im am a musician and have been for many years
second my ears are extremely good and i have a sort of perfect pitch with music so dont doubt my words
The intro to the tab that " B-rad" submitted
IS CORRECT!!!!
i havent checked the rest of the song and could care less
but the intro IS CORRECT!!!!!!
the bass makes it sound as if other notes are played and thats why everybody keeps
thinking that there are different notes

strngrndawrld - 2005-10-16

Hey all! Just saw Falling Up in conert last weekend in Hughesville, PA. Was like 3 feet from the lead guitarist... so, I can say with utmost confidence that the ending that B-rad wrote is slightly faulty. No offense, but that's not how they play it... I'm not good at "typing" tab, so I will just tell you that the chord shape is the same as an open B7 on the first and second frets (in standard tuning) but played up the neck. It's an octave of the first chord... which I believe is an E... so the B7 shape would be played on the 5th and 6th frets... tried it and it sounds good to me... try it out. I'm not saying that I have perfect pitch and all that (although I do know people who do... it's amazing!) but I think that's right...

strngrndawrld - 2005-10-16

oh yeah... mute the open strings in that chord shape! oops!

strngrndawrld - 2005-10-16

Ok... now after all of that, I find that that chord in fact does not work after all... sounds horrible!! Anyhow, I do know that the guitarist moved up the neck for the "higher" sounding notes... The F# does indeed sound right, so it works, it's just not where he played it... maybe 11th fret on the g string? I know it's the same pitch, but if you wanna get technical he does play it somewhere up he neck... B-rad... awesome job on the corrections!
"I wanna be mistaken for Jesus"-- Warren Barfield (good song!)

sac346 - 2006-05-23

Dude, Where do you guys get the idea that theres a 1 i the song? The intro goes like this. Yo should see my tab. I kinda messed up on the legend, but I'm 99.999% sure that it's accurate cause I listened to the song like. 50 times.

lbdrummer - 2006-06-16

I'm sorry everyone but how about someone just buys their song book and just posts their songs. TAKE ONE FOR THE TEAM!

Adam K - 2006-07-13

(duhhhhhhhhhhhh) because it's illegal

sac346 - 2006-07-15

Okay, there's a tab out on ultimate- guitar.com that I think is horrible, but I did learn one thing from it. There are TWO guitars on the intro, but the fact that they are palm muted makes it hard to here the second guitar. In fact, the second guitar goes throught the intro, verse, and chorus. I'll try to get a tab on as soon as i can because this is my favorit song in the world.
My other tab that i put on isn't very good despite it's rating cause I gave it it's first and only rating. lol it's horrid!! All the tabs that Adam-K has put out are very acurate so i don't know if I would go saying he's all messed up in his tabbing.

Keep rocking, Sac346

Zions_Child16 - 2006-07-24

way RAD!!!!
awesome song...
thank you very much!!!

sac346 - 2006-08-14

The intro is CORRECT!! I've played it like 10 times this way and it sounds right! This song should be rated 5.0, but for some reason it's not.

sac346 - 2006-08-14

Oh yea, my correction is not right I guess my 99.999% was wrong, but that's why I didn't make it 100%!

sac346 - 2007-02-12

hey guys. check out my lates broken heart tab. it's 100% acuarate. i double checked. non of your other tabs are correct. (not to brag) but i'm positve now on the intro and verse and chorus and bridge. it was really easy once you watch them play it. ;-)

Sk8inGomer - 2008-02-10

Uhm... I just saw their music video for this last night on Real Videos, and unless they were playing it differently for the vid,(unlikely) Then they were almost defidently playing it:
G[------11-11-------11-11-------8----]
D[-2-2--11-11--4-4--11-11--9-8--8--2-]
A[-2-2---9--9--4-4---9--9--6-6--6--2-]
D[-2-2---------4-4---------6-6-----2-]

:D Hope that helps...:)
