This is Your Life
Switchfoot- The Beautiful Letdown
I came up with this one on my own, and when I looked at the other versions
on this site today, they didn't have as many chords as mine, so I decided
to add it. I think it's pretty acurate. If you own the CD, then the way I
typed the chords should match up with the way the words are printed up in
the CD paper, and you can listen to it for timing... (Did that make any sense?!)
-Lindsay
intro:
E----------------------------------
B----------------------------------
G----------------------------------
D----------------------------6-----
A---4--4--7-4--4--4-7--4--4----4--2
E----------------------------------
this keeps playing throughout the verse, but I also found the chords that
can be played
verse 1:
C#m B C#m B
C#m B C#m B
B A B A
C#m
B C#m B
C#m B C#m B
B A B C#m
chrous:
E B A
E B A
E B A
E B C#m
verse 2:
C#m B C#m B
C#m B C#m B
bridge thing:
B C#m
(4x)
E B A
E B A B
I'm just a beginner, but i took what you had for the intro (otherwise i wouldn't be anywhere) and changed it a little and i think it sounds a little bit closer to the song.
E----------------------------------
B----------------------------------
G----------------------------------
D-------------------------------6--
A---4--4--7-4--4--4-7--7--4--4----2
E----------------------------------
And there also is some very nice slide parts around the C#, octaves work.
And then just before the singing there is a B to C# hammer on on the e string.
Also beginning of second verse under 'yesterday is a kid in the corner' there is a decending fill on the E major pentatonic.
your all of heres an easy way
heres the real intro
4 -----------------------------------------------
5 -----------------------------------------6-----
6 --4--4---7--4---4---4---7-----4---0---0-------2
hope it's right
Just to add to the pool of opinion on the solo, I do not htink that the second note played is that high. I think it is a low C#. Therefore I think that it goes:
G :---------------------------------
D :--------2---------2---------6----
A :--4---4---4-----4-----4-0-4---2--
C#:----0---------0------------------
