Submitted by: agoddardBe Near Written by Shane Barnard CD “Carry Away” (This song is already on the site, but the tab isn't the greatest--rated at a 2--and it's actually played capoed to what I have here, not like the current tab specifies. Mine is much more specific.) Capo 7 Verse: Em7 (020030) C2 (023030, can hammer the four string) Em7 C2 Em7 C2 Em7 C2 Pre-Chorus: Am7 Em7 C2 D-D2-D (can hammer the 2 string on Am7, 4 string on C2) Chorus: G D2/F# Em7 D C2 Em7 D-Dsus-D (repeat) I think Shane starts the chorus with a G chord (320033) and walks it down through D2/F# (200033), Em7 (020033), D, C2 (x32033), Em7 (x20033), D…very fun, sounds nice, and I love the heart of the song, how much it longs for God. Problem is, on the CD he plays it in D (CAPO 7), indeed the best key for the song, because he has a full band; the guitar work he does, he does pretty much only on the lower four strings. However, playing it solo guitar in that key makes the guitar sound kinda puny , so I move it down the neck to capo 3 or 4.
