Just a general comment. I've been searching for songs to use as a worship leader, and it would be MUCH more helpful if the lyrics were typed in under the chords, so when you hear a song on the radio/internet, you'd have the lyrics and the chord changes right there, instead of having to look them up online elsewhere. Not all of us own the albums out there. Thanks for the good tab work though!!

I recognize how including lyrics would benefit as a timing aid, but this site has a policy about including lyrics for "any" purpose: http://www.christianguitar.org/lyrics.php

actually i think the intro is played like this...

E------------------|-----------------------|
B----12--------9---|-----12-------9--------|
G--9----11-11----9-|--9-----11-11---9-11-9-|
D------------------|-----------------------|
A------------------|-----------------------|
E------------------|-----------------------|

but everything else is great God bless!

It's close but try this:
Intro:
E A2 B E C#m A2 E
e-------------------|--------------------------
b-------------------|--------------------------
g-------------------|--------------------------
d-2--s9--4--4--6----|-2--s9--4--4--6--2--4--2--
a----------------2--|--------------------------
E-------------------|--------------------------

The verse chords are:
E A2 C#m A2

E A2 C#m B

Also on the bridge try:

C#m A2 E B E B

Also also: pick these open chords in the chorus where you hear them in the song.
A2 E B C#m
e----0-----0----0-----0---------
b----0-----0----0-----0---------
g----2-----1----4-----6---------
d----2-----2----4-----6---------
a-------------------------------
E-------------------------------

There ya go - been playing this song for about 6 months in my Praise Band, also just figured out SHELTER if anyone wants it..

For a good exercise in learning the music/rhythms, after you print out the tab sheets, put the lyrics in yourself. You'll find that it will help you to learn the rhythms and timing a little faster.

You Could Have Just Put In A New Tab, But IT Was Good

Using the following voicings of the chords provides a nice transition from one chord to the next, moving down the neck of the guitar:

Verse -- play these chords (in this order)

E A D G B E
E 0 7 9 9 0 0
A2 5 7 7 6 0 0
C#m7 x 4 6 6 0 0
A2 5 7 7 6 0 0

E 0 7 9 9 0 0
A2 5 7 7 6 0 0
C#m7 x 4 6 6 0 0
A2 5 7 7 6 0 0
Bsus4 x 2 4 4 0 0
Asus2 x 0 2 2 0 0

(Note: Leave the 3rd out of the E chord as shown. That is the same voicing that Paul Beloche uses in "Open the Eyes of my Heart".)

chocoboxd - 2006-06-03

I figured out the tabs for chorus that you can barely hear in the back

Its mostly just the D fingering

-----2-3--3-2-0-3--------|-----2-3--3-2-0-3--------0|
---3-------------3--33-2-|---3-------------3--33-2--|
------------------------2|--------------------------|
-------------------------|--------------------------|
-------------------------|--------------------------|

What exactly is "declaiming", as in, "declaiming Your majesty"? I've never heard this word before and wondered if it was a new worship term that I could use in my songs.

dandaman - 2006-08-10

Not "Declaming" But Proclaiming
