This song is performed by Chris Rice on the piano but I tabbed
it so that it would be possible to play on guitar. You must
fingerpick this song.

Somewhere in the middle of the song everything is raised a half
step making it very difficult to play on guitar. Its not necessary
to do this when you play this song unless you want to play along.

Heh, maybe someone could stand by and move the capo up a half-step each time it changes. :-P

actually on his newest cd there is a live version of this song that is played on guitar, it sounds just as awesome as the piano one

what better way to jam with this song with a piano and a real one at that and not some fancy keyb, anyway good trans....

Or, to make it easier to play on guitar. Either:
1. Capo on 1 and play in keys of B -> C -> D
2a. Capo on 8 and play in keys of E -> F -> G
2b. Detune guitar 1/2 step and capo on 7 to play in keys of E -> F -> G

Okay first of all...what an amazing song. And second of all, really really great tab. Really great job! If you're having any trouble with this keep at it because it's definitly worth it.

I think I know this song, but could anyone post a few lyrics to it. It doesn't have to have the tabs with it (due to copywright laws) but just to see if it's the song I'm thinking of.

Hate to break it to you all but this TAB isnt even even close to being correct. I purchase the official Guitar TAB sheet music for this song a few months ago. The song is pretty difficult to play. There are 2 key changes. One is at the end of verse 2/beginning of verse 3 and the other is at the end of verse 4/beginning of verse 5. Verses 1 & 2 are played without a Capo. Verses 3 & 4 are played with a Capo on the 1st Fret and Verses 5 & 6 are played with a Capo on the 3rd Fret.
