Meet With Me
Artist: Ten-Shekel Shirt
C.D.: Much
Words and Music By: Ten-Shekel Shirt
Tabbed By: Robbie Forrest (TreborF7@aol.com)

I would like to say that I used the other version on this site by
Marc Smithers and changed and added (electric part) to it. He did
a good job and I would like to thank him and my brother Andrew who
also helped some. I will include both the acoustic and the electric.
Acoustic will come first.

Electric

You may also play this like the acoustic (capo and all) and just use
these chords with distortion for chorus but change their fret numbers
to be relative to capo. Ex.:
                                      A/C: X 4 X 2 5 0 = X 2 X 0 3 X
That way of playing is for when you only have one guitar and you want to
play it like them. The Guitar Solo will then be played like the acoustic
(above) if you are playing like this. Anyway enough about that here is
the electric played open and like they play it as best as I can tell.

Capo: None

Chords:
     E A D G B e E A D G B e
A/C: X 4 X 2 5 0 or X 4 7 X X X
D9: X 5 4 X 5 5 or X 5 7 7 X X (a D5)
E: X 7 9 9 X X
A: 5 7 7 X X X

Intro: None (Just acoustic)

Verse: None (Just acoustic)

Chorus:
A/C D9 E A X5

Verse: Picked notes here and there. Haven’t figured it out yet.

Chorus:
A/C D9 E A X5

Guitar Solo: Here are 3 different ways to play there are certainly more
ways to do it using combinations etc. but here are only 3. I believe
Ten-Shekel Shirt uses version 1. Listen to song for rhythm.

Version 1:
e|-5-2-0-4-7-5-2-0-5-4-5-2-0-4-5-7-8-10s0-5-5s4-5-0-5-9-10-12-17s16-19-17-|

Chorus:

Outro: Here and there picked notes. Haven’t figured out yet.

TreborF7 - 2004-01-09

I forgot something on the acoustic for the verse when tabbing this. There is an added pulloff. Here it is:

e|----33-----3333-----------333333-|
B|----33-----3333-----------333333-|
G|----00-----0000---(2p0)---000000-|
D|----------------0----------------|
A|--2----2h3-----------------------|
E|------------------------3--------|

Thats it. Putting that pulloff in makes it sound much better. They don't do it everytime on the recording so listen for it.

TreborF7 - 2004-01-09

There is something else i forgot to add. For the electric part on the first chord of the chorus if you play it the second way to play it add one more finger to make it this:
e|---|
B|---|
G|-6-| second finger
D|-7-| third finger
A|-4-| first finger
E|---|

You have the best interpretation i've seen thus far, but there's a small prob - on the solo part it doesn't sound right to just play the chorus chords with the solo. Try using Em7 C G D (x3) then Em7 D D# F then G C D G (x2). I think you will find that those chords fit better. When you do that 2nd chord progression try using these chords instead of the open chords:

E A D G B e
Em7: X 2 2 0 3 3
D: X 5 7 7 7 5 (All relative to capo)
D#: X 6 8 8 8 6
F: X 8 10 10 10 8

Also - I use the 2nd solo. It's a bunch of slides - and I personally think it sounds better on the B string.

jeffku - 2004-08-05

I slowed the song down, and this is more detailed:
e|-----3--------3---------------333333-|
B|-----33-------3---------------333333-|
G|-----00-------0--(0)---2p0----000000-|
D|---0--0------0--(0)--0---------------|
A|--2-------2h3---3--------------------|
E|----------------------------3--------|
3- for this part, play the 3 very fast and lightly.

as for the (0) notes, these are ghost notes so play them also very lightly. This should be ALMOST 100% accurate to the first intro of the song althought im not TOO sure about the

Sorry any of you aren't right. You play the song A D E and it continues till you get to the chrous. Then the chorus has different chords near the end. I'm not sure what they are but I will get back to you on this.

offthecross316 - 2004-11-03

The solo/s(all of them) sound really, really wrong....i think it should go up instead of down the string....and its to short....im sry to seem mean but the whole solo is bad and doesnt fit the song(not what they play anyways). If anyone has a better/right version of the solo, please post it or let me know...thanks

Sry to sound like its all bad and that im mean, the rest of the tab is great...just not the solos

jerber34 - 2004-11-26

Pretty good except capo is full on II, not partial. And the bridge is as Shwa described Em7 Cadd9 G C (3x) but then:
(tabbed from nut, not relative to capo)

Em7 e|----|-8-|-10-|
b|-12-|-8-|-10-|
G|----|---|----|
D|----|---|----|
A|-12-|-8-|-10-|
E|----|---|----|

That'll do it

jerber34 - 2004-11-26

hmm...didn't include my spaces so I'll do it this way
(again, from nut and not relative to capo II)
And this is the acoustic guitar under the solo

e|-3-|----|-8-|-10-|
b|-3-|-12-|-8-|-10-|
G|---|----|---|----|
D|-2-|----|---|----|
A|-2-|-12-|-8-|-10-|
E|---|----|---|----|

Then back to the verse/chorus progression

RyRo - 2005-02-13

A friend of mine is learning guitar and wants to learn this song. This song may be played in standard tuning, with no capo, very simply.

Verse & Chorus

A Dsus E A

You can probably play a normal D for Dsus if you prefer the sound.

That works for the entire song. The bridge in this arrangement, then, goes:

F#m Dsus A E (x3)
F#m Dsus (you can either hold the D, or play F#m E... whatever sounds best when the soloing guitar goes wild.)

I hope this helps anybody who wants to play this song just sittin' around with an acousticama guitar. =]
