Title: Take My Life
Album: Stay
Transcribed by: Lusankya

Copyright: 2002 BEC Recording
Intro is power chords:C5
Bb5
G#5
Cool lead line is(to my best estimates):
E----------------------------------------------------------------
B----------------------------------------------------------------
G-----------------10---------------------------------------------
D--13-10-13-10-13----13---13-10-13-10-13-10----------------------
A-------------------------------------------13-------------------
E----------------------------------------------------------------
Note: This sounds best palm-muted lightly and that is why it is played on
the thicker strings when i play it.
Chorus uses intro chords, the end of it goes:
E-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
B-------------------------------------------------(vibrato while bent)--------
G-----------------------------------------------------10bu--------------------
D-6-6-5/6--------13-10-13-10-13-10------13-10-13-10-13-----13-----------------
A-6-6-5/6-x3-----------------------13-----------------------------------------
E-4-4-3/4---------------------------------------------------------------------
Verse 2: play lead line.
Chorus 2: same.
Interlude: F5 G#5 lead line.
Chorus 3: First time through play chords once then scratch strings. Then
back to normal.
End freestyling with the chords sliding and the like.
This is just a basic version of the song, not completely in depth
(or necessarily right) so feel free to make changes/additions, this is
an awesome song.
I think the lead in the verse is off a little.
Here is a different way.
G-----------------------------------------10--------
D--13-10-13-10-13-10----10-13-10-13-10-13----13-10--
A--------------------13-----------------------------
E---------------------------------------------------
Uh, sorry but you guys are both wrong. Here is an exact way to play the riff.
E------------------------------
B------------------------------
D----8----8---8-------------
G------10--10--10--8--10

"No offense, B-rad, but I'm going to offend you." Lay off, man. He's discovered something he wanted to share and he has that right. I even think it's nice of him to let us know something that may help us.
As far as ignorance goes, look into your usage of the English language. "your" is possessive; "you're" is the contraction you wanted for "you are." It's not too difficult, is it?
"(3) And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? (4) Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye? (5) Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." --Matthew 7:3-5.
B-Rad, do not let anyone discourage you from your worship of Christ through music. God gave you a talent and there's very little we can do that's more spiritually fulfilling than to give it back to Him.
hey guess i hate to say it but if i were to get on here i wouldnt expect to see fellow Christians using scripture to make fun of each other. guys yall think about your impact or tupos that youll leave on the others that arent christians that may visit this site.
I have never been on a website where the artists are teasing each other at all! Wow, I almost don't know whether to think that Christian sites aren't safer or not!
I hope you all are well and visit this page again to see this message.
I tried most of these and they all sound okay to me, harder for me to sing in different keys! LOL
well, BLessings to you all
and may Christ offer you peace and understanding
(as well as myself, haha)

Hey B-rad,
I was just wondering why you have your guitar strings listed as e,b,d,g. I wasn't sure if that was just a typo or if you're using some alternate tuning that I don't know about. Just curious. well I'm gonna check out your version and see how it sounds next to the cd. BTW, everyone is putting forth great effort.
