Comments about this tabPanDeVida85 - 2004-07-21Y DOES EVERY TAB SAY THE CHORDS ARE E5 OR W/E???? FREAKIN, THE BASS IS PLAYING F# THROUGH OUT THE VERSE AND INTRO!!! WHEN I'VE BUT THE FIRST CHORD WITH WHAT THE BASS PLAYS IT DOES NOT SOUND HARMONIZED AT ALL! EVERYWHERE I LOOK ALL THE TABS ARE THE SAME! SAME PROGRESSION AND YET THE BASS PLAYS AN F#! HOW DO I KNOW MY BASS ISN'T DETUNED? I PLAY WITH A TUNER PLUGGED TO MY AMP & I ALSO PUT IT ON GUITAR PRO AND ITS AN F#! SO CAN'T ANY1 FIX THIS ERROR? pup_on_drugs - 2004-09-07 This is because the acuall song is in the key of D, and these tabs are in a diffrent key. The bass would play the F# because in the key of D, the 3rd is F#. So in other words, in case you don't know theory, you're harmonizing with the guitar. So you're playing the right thing, but you would have to transpose these songs up to the key of D. prentice340 - 2004-09-12 no your wrong too when the guy tabed the song he was wrong about one thing. The guiter plays these chords but with a capo on the 2nd fret and the bass has to transpose these same chords up a whole step so E5 on guitar is f# on bass. thats how it is donein every book ive seen. and thats the right way so ha. prentice340 - 2004-09-12 i didnt mean to put E5 i meant regular E but its the same for both.also the bass plays the notes upa step on the bottom of the fractions . and the guitar plays the top. guitarmanjer - 2004-10-26 If I were any of you guys, I would play either way. It just depends on the tuning ear of how a person plays the song. God Bless, GTMJ. HolyBlood8 - 2005-01-29 E5 is how the original music is! jschneider94 - 2005-03-22 Sonicflood's live version is in F#, not E. See my new guitar tab posting for more info. - jschneider94 jel_zynth - 2005-04-09 i agree with guitarmanjer, it really doesn't matter which key, the more important i guess is what matches the voice of the singer...in our music team we actually change the original key to fit our singer's voice...that's all..Godbless Add a comment/correction ![]()
