Comments about this tab
speed12 - 2007-02-19
Ooh...the formatting seems to have gone a bit weird!
All of the notes are meant to be above each other and not staggered like they are shown.
Also, it seems I can't count, so all the (x9) should be (x8)!!!!
Enjoy!
frenchy1227 - 2007-09-13
hey dude this is the way i play the intro and the chorus. same idea as what you said just more strings and different neck position.
---8-------8-------8-------8--------
---8-------6-------5-------6--------
---5-(x9)--5-(x9)--5-(x9)--5-(x9)---
---5-------5-------5-------5-------- x2
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
nice job on the tab by the way
LetItGo123321 - 2007-10-13
Yeah good job, you got the basic chords down. But here's a few additions/subtractions.
+All the guitar strums should be down strokes only, for the intro/chorus
intro: distortion:
e-|------------
b-|------------
g-|12-|10|-9|-- (downstoke / x8 for each chord, and all of it x2)
D-|10-|10|-10|-
A-|------------
E-|------------
+Then the verse notes should go:
verse: clean:
e-|-----------------------------------------
b-|-----------------------------------------
g-|------12-------12--|---------12-------12-
D-|10-10----10-10-----|10-10-10-----10-10---
A-|-----------------------------------------
E-|-----------------------------------------
e-|-----------------------------------------
b-|-----------------------------------------
g-|------10-------10--|--------10-------10-
G-|10-10----10-10----|10-10-10----10-10---
A-|-----------------------------------------
E-|-----------------------------------------
e-|-----------------------------------------
b-|-----------------------------------------
g-|------9--------9--|---------9---------9-
D-|10-10----10-10----|10-10-10----10-10----
A-|-----------------------------------------
E-|-----------------------------------------
e-|-----------------------------------------
b-|-----------------------------------------
g-|------10-------10--|---------10-------10-
D-|10-10----10-10-----|10-10-10----10-10----
A-|-----------------------------------------
E-|-----------------------------------------
All of that x2
+Then same thing for the chorus as the intro (and guitar lead below)
+Then the keyboard chorus lead which the guitar can do too:
e-|----------------------------------|------------------------------
b-|-------13-15-------13-13-15-17-13-|------13-15-------13-15-12-13-
g-|-12-12-------12-12----------------|12-12-------12-12-------------
D-|----------------------------------|------------------------------
A-|----------------------------------|------------------------------
E-|----------------------------------|------------------------------
all of that x2
+Then back to the verse
+Then the chorus and lead
+Then the bridge:
e-|--------------------------------------------------------
b-|-13~-13bend to 15-12~-12bend to 13-10~-10-17-17-17-17---
g-|--------------------------------------------------------
D-|--------------------------------------------------------
A-|--------------------------------------------------------
E-|--------------------------------------------------------
all of that x2
+Then chorus again
And that's it really.

Actually if you watch Tim Hughes performance at Newsong on Youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjJrbB8vxR4
You will see that the electric guitarist is playing the intro/chorus on the 5th fret, so I think Frenchy1227's comment above is probably closer than these others, but they all still sound good
