The intro:  On the Jars of Clay cd, the intro is not a guitar, but on the 
Frail demo an electric guitar tuned down 1/2 step plays something like 
Intro A with distortion and wah.  On Jars of Clay, the intro is played 
on a mandolin, but Intro B is an adaptation for a standard tuned guitar.
