I'm not familiar with the "Dmsus", "F2", and "Bb6".

Could you please tell me how to play them.

Example:

F - x x 3 2 1 1

That would help alot.

Thanks!

musicmatt112590 - 2005-03-24

Okay, these are how I play them. The B6 is hard; it takes a lot of practice.

F2: x x 3 0 1 1

Dmsus: x x 0 0 3 1

B6: 4 2 4 4 2 2 (all those twos are just the 2nd fret being barred).

That's it, I think! Hope it helps!

musicmatt112590 - 2005-03-24

Oh, and when I said almost all the other tabs on this site, I wasn't trying to

sound snobby (if that's what u call it; that sounds kinda wierd) and I only

meant for this song. It's hard anyways and the only reason I included some

piano chords is because it sounds sweet if you have just the right dist. and

play the piano part, so, just a little clarification there (did I spell that

right? Guess I'll never know). I can't make everyone happy, of course, because

the only place you can always find happiness is the dictionary, but, I try!!

AND, THEY MESSED UP MY SIG!! It's like this: > <"\\>< <"\\>< <"\\>< and

the first fishy is going against the sub-currents that are pushing the other

fishies toward him or something like that.

Wait! One more thing!! The bridge should be like this:

C# D# C# D#
But the stone was...
C# D# Bbm C F(to chorus)
I will soar with...

Sorry! I couldn't figure that out until I got the book, and then I said, "Oh, looky here!" and then, well, you get the picture.

musicmatt112590 - 2005-03-24

What the heck happened to that comment?!? I hope u can figure it out!

matt j t - 2005-03-25

Thanks matt for the chord explanation and the bridge correction.

musicmatt112590 - 2005-03-26

ur welcome, but guess what? I gave you the tab for B6, not Bb6 (In case u didn't already know that). This is right:

Bb6: 3 1 3 3 1 1

And, right after that chord, it's easier to play a Bbsus2 instead of a regular Bb.

Bbsus2: 1 1 3 3 1 1

Really easy. And you understand that the ones are just barred, so, that should be it (I hope).

matt j t - 2005-03-26

Yeah I saw that, thanks again.

musicmatt112590 - 2005-04-01

Hey, here's an easier way to play a Bb6:

E--3--
B--1--
G--3--
D--3--
A--1--
E--1--

The fingers are in the same position as a normal Bb, but u just move your pinky
down one string. Much easier (for me!).

musicmatt112590 - 2005-04-07

Y'know, I'm sick of all these corrections!! The Dmsus to Dm should be a Dmsus7 to Dm7. Here's how to play that:

Dmsus7

E-1-
B-1-
G-0-
D-0-
A-x-
E-x-

Dm7

E-1-
B-1-
G-2-
D-0-
A-x-
E-x-

Now, that had better be it (it should be!).

bigmmr2008 - 2005-04-12

Hey guys I really like the tab, but I am having a little trouble with a couple of the chords. I would appreciate it if someone would put up the chords D# and Eb I believe it is. Thanks and God Bless!!!!!

matt j t - 2005-04-13

Eb and D# are the same thing. It looks like this:

Eb (or D#) - x68886

I hope that helps.

same_here - 2005-05-06

I just don't think this sounds as good...the tab written for the key of E + capo 1 is the most accurate...add in some of the comments and corrections and I think the song is perfect.

musicmatt112590 - 2005-06-27

Hey, same_here, that didn't make much sense. U mean the OTHER song is perfect with corrections added in, or that u just like using a capo, or that u like this version the best, or what?

gsus_freak7 - 2005-07-18

musicmatt, i have the book, and i hope u know that its ILLEGAL to copy them out of the book. I know you said you figured 'em out, but either ur real great out just cheating, so...

Coby - 2005-07-19

Coupla comments on the chords. My brother--who at 16 dropped classical cello
and mastered guitar overnight--respect! Taught me A6 30 yrs. ago as:

A6: 0 0 2 2 2 2

Which is played with one finger.

Bb6: 1 1 3 3 3 3, or X X 3 3 3 3

The rest of the chords, contrary to what you said, look pretty easy to me. I haven't actually taken this home and tried it, but I would just use Bar chords, barring up E, A (1 finger across D/G/B strings) and C chords (D#/Eb). The intro especially is easy.

I figure anything a band plays is most likely to have easy fingerings. They use electric guitars, which have close-set strings and light tension, so it is really easy to play that A 0 0 2 2 2 0 chord, and they do a lot of power chords like E 0 2 2 4 (0 0) and A 0 0 2 2 X X, and a lot of one-finger chord changes, like F2 X X 3 3 0 1 1 - F X X 3 3 2 1 1, or Dsus7 - Dm7. That's what I try first, anyway, when I am figuring out fingerings out of a book--to make them as simple as I can. I figure it's what they did.

Thanks for posting. I suggest re-posting the tab with the corrections cleaned up.

Coby

musicmatt112590 - 2005-07-30

yes, I know it's illegal. I guess I am pretty good, if they're exactly like the book. That's cool. I figured this out on the piano (I think I already said that) and just translated the chords to guitar.

And about the A6, that's absolutely right. I just nvr thot about playing it that way. Thx a million.

musicmatt112590 - 2005-07-30

Ok, so, I need to post a new tab? Will they let me do that? I guess it'd be easier. Ok, I'll try.
