Capn Redbeard - 2005-04-02
Actually if you listen to the Cd, the bridge chords are A - Bm - F#m - D
matt_pom - 2005-04-04
Capn Redbeard is right about the bidge
g00ksta7 - 2005-04-13
E - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
A - - - - - - 4-5-5-5-4-4-4-0
D 4-4-4-2-2-2 - - - - - - - -
G - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
That's the intro for the bass.....
Corrections-!
The chorus and bridge is A-E-F#-D the whole time. When the drums are going by itself through the bridge, then the bass comes in, they use A-E-F#-D....also through the chorus the whole time!!
g00ksta7 - 2005-04-13
Actually, I guess both works?
BenJwasHere - 2005-06-15
i sorta agree wit capn redbeard on the bridge..cuz thats what i heard too
CrossMovement - 2005-06-22

Verse: F# Bm7 D
Chorus: A E F#m D A E (2x) F#m D (3x)
Bridge: A Bm9 F#m D A Bm9 D F#m D

My email is anointed_and_ready@hotmail.com yall guys rock :) peace

Iam am Jeremy - 2005-11-03
hey everyone
i have seen the sheet music
Verse and Intro: F#m
Pre Chorus: F#m Bm D Those 2 chords are played at the end of it and fast
Chorus: A E F#m D
Bridge: A Bm F#m D
I hope this settles all the arguments
punkishnate - 2005-11-03
here's an idea.... how bout people actually know what they're doing before they post crappy tabs that are completely wrong, because they want to feel special and get a song up here. If your not sure then dont post it!
Ruined14 - 2005-11-30
There seems 2 b much confusion with this song!
i play this song in my youth n this is how i play it
e
B-----6b------------------
G-------77--66-----------
D---------------77-------
A-----------------------
E----------------------- X2 or 4 can't member
throughout the verse, i play f# palm muted and then when it gets to the end of a line for example "don't wanna stand here and shout your praise" (all palm muted) then hit F# a few times without the palm mute, im not 100% sure if that is how hillsong do it, but it sounds kewl! :)
the prechorus, is a little riff that goes like this
e-----------------------------
B------------10----------------
G-------------- 11 11 11 11 11 ( a few times)
D-----11 11-----------------------
A------------------------------------
E------------------------------- X4 i think
then the chorus is simple just
A - E - F# - D
if there are any quesions, email me at inahouse_14@hotmail.com
thx n god bless
Skorzen - 2005-12-26
Bass line is close on those, but it's a little simpler than some are making it. The part just walks down the triad from root-7th-5th. It should be F#F#F#EEEC#C#DDDC#C#C#AA all eighth notes. in tab this would be:
A--999777--555444----------
E--------99-------55-----
or:
A--99977744555444-----
E-----------------55--
or if you have 5 strings and don't want to move:
A--9997777----------
E----------99(10)(10)(10)999
B-------------------------(10)(10)
I personally think the first one gets the tone closest to the recording, and it is what I believe is played on the recording.
TFK_guy - 2006-03-31
ok all i've figured out in like 3 min. is the very beginning of the intro and it's like this
e------------------------------|
b--7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-------------|
g--9b9b9b9b9b9b9b9b-777-666----|
d---------------------------99-|
TFK_guy - 2006-03-31
ok my bad those last two strokes on the d string (d---99) should be
e----|
b----|
g----|
d-99-|
pommyboyaussie - 2006-04-22
ok guys the bass line is all wrong
i played this at a performance and the easiest way 2 play the bass line is:
A----999-777-----------------
E------------99-101010-999-55
thats the easiest way 2 play the bass line for all you who dont know it
manilacoke3 - 2006-04-24
the simplest way to play the bassline is doing an on position scale so each finger can be assigned to a fret.look:
G
D--444
A-----777-44-555-444
E-------------------55
Godbless ya'll!

manilacoke3 - 2006-04-24
Note: About the on-position scale...
index finger on the 4th fret;
middle on the 5th;
pinkie on the 7th.
it may not be the best way to play it,
but its a alot simpler.
Godbless!
JESUSFReaK301 - 2006-04-25
Look, for the bass, intro, there have so many postings that are exactly the same, what wid that???? Choose, which you find is easiest, and play it, don't tell others that theirs is wrong if it's exactly the same.
LesPaul1988 - 2006-07-19
Man so many different things to play on here.
The intro is Using Octaves along with the verse.
Intro:
F# E D
Verse:
F# C# F# B A G#
Listen and play along with the CD. Remember what I have written you need to play in Octaves on the A & G strings. Listen for the changes and rythym patterns.
