Move Forward
Bethany Dillon
Alrighty, this is nowhere near perfect but here goes.
intro: Csus - G - Dsus- Em7- Csus- G- Dsus
verse 1 and 2 are both the same
verses chords: Csus-G-Dsus-Em7- C sus - G - Dsus
( the chorus was a tiny bit trick but this sounds kind of close)
chorus : A - Em7 ( with the Em7 its kind of musted with your hand if that
makes sense :)
and then the bridge sort of part is the same as the verses.
C sus G Dsus Em7 A
-----3----- ----3---- ----3---- ----0---- ----0----
-----3----- ----3---- ----3---- ----3---- ----2----
-----0----- ----0---- ----2---- ----0---- ----2----
-----2----- ----0---- ----0---- ----2---- ----2----
-----3----- ----2---- ----0---- ----2---- ----0----
-----0----- ----3---- ----0---- ----0---- ----0----
Alright hope that makes some sense :) God bless!
i'm very new to guitar too but i believe 'sus' mean suspended. which means you have to suspend a chord, which i can't explain. i know i can't do it yet... :-/ i hope that helps.
When I have played this song, I have done the bridge differently. While palmmuting the part that's "and I..... move forward..... and I.... move forward.. and I.... move forward, to home" I have played it like this:
Am
And I
D
Move Forward
Am
And I
D
Move Forward
Am
And I
C C G D E
Move Forward to home
the sus means suspended....when you play a major chord.. (eg: C chord) the notes in the chord are made up of E C E G C E on the guitar and C E G on the piano and the suspended is basically bringing the 5th note which is the G on piano (on piano-easier to explain down to the 4th which is a F instead of a G).
LEGEND:
x = muted
o = open string
LH = Left hand
RH = Right Hand
CMajor (which is just a C)
For Guitar you play oCEGCo or 032010
For Piano yo play RH: C E G
Csus
For Guitar you play xCFGCF or x33011
For Piano you play RH: C E F
Make sense?
If you need more email me j-bryan@shaw.ca
It is not allowed to put the lyrics with the chords anymore, but pretty much every yeah you say you change chords on this song. then maybe you can get the feel for it from there. hope that helped
