Jesus Loves Me by Jennifer Knapp Words Originaly done by: Anna B. Warner & David McGuire Music Originaly done by: William Bradbury Tabs by Russ Allen This song is sung the same as the other post, these tabs are different though. There are also a few more verses that my youth group likes to sing. Riff 1 e|-----2--2------0--0------0--0----------0- B|---3--3------3--3------3--3------3----3-- G|--2-2--2----0-0--0----0-0--0----0-0--0--- D|-0--------------------------------------- A|-----------3---------2---------1----0---- E|----------------------------------------- Riff 2 e|----2---2----0---0------0---0------------ B|---3--3-----3--3-------3--3------3----3-- G|--2----2---0----0-----0----0----0----0--- D|-0--------------------------------------- A|----------3----------2---------1----0---- E|----------------------------------------- The way this song works is you sing the first part of each verse of the song. You can also use Amazing Grace, and the 'Now I lay me down to sleep' prayer. Its overall slow to sing but played at a normal beat. RIff 1 Jesus loves me this I know, For the bible tells me so Riff 1 Little ones to him belong, they are weak but he is strong Chorus: Riff 2 Guys: Alleliua Alleliua Girls: Alleliua, Allelu Alleliua, Alleliua x2 All: Alleliua Jesus loves me when I'm good, when I do the things I should Jesus loves me when I'm bad, even though it makes him sad. Chorus Jesus loves me, he who died. Heaven's gates are open wide He will wash away my sin, let this little child come in Chorus Amazing Grace how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me I once was lost but now am found, once was blind but now I see Chorus Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. Chorus You can either play just one guitar switching riffs as shown, or you can have to guitars, one playing riff 1, the other other playing riff 2 at the same time. This is a great reworking of and a classic, good for youth groups and other things. Have fun! Questions: RussDude87@yahoo.com
