Congratulations on your capo explaination, I was wondering if you'd pick up on that...however following the Em chord there is a chord which is similar to it
which I think should replace the Chord related to C in your tab 034000 rather than 032033, I'm positive on that...I'm still trying to figure out the rest of the tab myself, also, what about the bridge, that one's still tripping me out, and I didn't see it in your tab.
ya good tab..ive seen his music video of mistaken and instead of in the begining of em its another chord thats looks really difficult. But awesome work also is gaddon9 the same as g or gsus?
Have to agree with the first user comment. I love Barfield, and think he's an amazing guitarist. I simply cannot get enough of his music.
Call me shortsighted, but I can't see how its possible to use a capo in that way, on the 3rd to 6th strings. Just use your finger to make barre chords.

Everything is sounding good to me. This is quite an unusual song, I mean with the capo situation and all. Animalmother, I personally have the live video of mistaken and he does play a capo on the second fret only on the EADG strings. I was quite surprised when I saw this.
Warren is such a great guitar player, I had the pleasure of seeing him live about a year ago, he's very good.

I'm sure these are not the real names as they are some type of jazz chord. Note these would follow along with the capoed chords Em - Cadd9. You only use the Db shape when passing back to F#m.

Is this not an amazing song? I have a DVD with a live recording of this song on it. I have watched it a million times. Okay an exaggeration, however, the tabs posted are almost accurate. The second chord I play like this 033010. Kind of an F#m but he also throws in a lick with his middle finger on the high E string the second fret. 033012 back to 033010. And he slides down from the initial Em to this F#m position. I am still learning the bridge. Try these chords and see if it works for you.

turn the capo backwards, and put it on the second fret on the A D G strings only.. leaving E B and e open
it should look like this if you were to strum it..

The Capo Barfield uses is called a 1/4 capo, or a Short-Cut capo that can either be used to hold down the A D and G strings (leaving the rest open) or to hold down the B G and D strings when put on from underneath. With this capo in place at the 2nd fret it gives an Esus open tuning.
Nice job on the tab, Barfield deffinatly has jazz experiance, the bridge is killer.
The second chord he plays after the opening Em chord is (like one of the other guys said) voiced: 034000 which he slides up from the 024000 Em chord.
