Sing Alleluia
-Jennifer Knapp
nobody on this website has figured out the bridge to this song i guess,
cuz all i've seen is the chords for the verse and chorus, but i figured out
what the bridge is. i'm not totally sure if its 100% correct, but its really
close. so here it is, the whole song.

D2 A2 E
D2 A2 E F#m

actually thunderdan, yeah, there is an E in the chorus, because the D2 doesn't sound right where you say it should be. i've played my guitar with the song over and over. i played my guitar like a bass guitar to get an idea of what the chords are. i may not be 100% sure of my chords, but i do know that where you say the D2 is played instead of the E, that it doesn't sound right. so i'm still gonna say that i'm more right than you are.
There is no E in the chorus. You can, just to prove it, play an E chord throughout the entire chorus, and at no time does it sound correct. The A2 D2 F#M D2 progression is the best I've seen so far. Good call Thunderdan.
Actually, Thunderdan and Big_John are both right. Thunderdan is right because there is no E in that chorus, but Big_john is right because the D2 doesn't sound completely right. The reason for this is that on the City on a Hill cd, the song is done Capo 4. The bridge on this chord notation is completely right, except just capoed wrong. If you adjust for that, the song sounds exactly like the cd.
There is no E chord in the chorus But you are right that you are hearing E when playing it like a bass because the D2 chord lets the high E ring out. So the Chord is D2 but you are hearing an E ring out at that point in the song :) Good work on it! sounds great!
