Artist: Relient K
Album: The Anatomy of Tongue in Cheek
Label: Gotee Records
Song: "For the Moments I Feel Faint"
Tabber: Ryan Vennell (ryan@rwven.com) (Built off of Josh Gambrell's
submission)
This is the single guitar tab for this song. The only other tabbed version
of the song requires that you have two guitars.
This tab is all strummed to their strum pattern for the song.
I wrote every strum for the intro. It gets a little
fast but you can hear how it's done by listening to the CD
if you get confused as to what's going on.
(Note: These are full strums chose not to put the 0's in on all the empty
strings. Play it as if it's a full chord. This is just the actual fingering.
Also, if there *IS* a 0 on the strum, then that means only the numbered
strings are to be played. (not a FULL six string strum))
There are only 17 strums in the entire looped Intro:
Intro, after first time through the chorus, and after the bridge:
e[----------------------------------------] <- 2x
B[----------------------------------------] <- 2x
G[-----1-1-1-2-1-2-1----6-6-6-4-4-6-6-6---] <- 2x
D[-----2-2-2-2-2-4-2----6-6-6-1-2-6-6-6---] <- 2x
A[---2-2-2-2----------4-4-4-4-2-2-2-2-2---] <- 2x
E[---0----------------0-------------------] <- 2x
(the 2nd and 3rd time the violin plays it on the CD. Replace it with the
Guitar since most people dont have a violin)
Verse/Chorus:
E - A2 - C#m7 - Bsus
Bridge:
E - A2 - C#m7 - Cmaj7 <- 2x
F#msus - A2*
Back to Verse/Chorus
Chords:
E - 022100
A2 - 002200
C#m7 - x46600
Bsus - x24400
Cmaj7 - x35500
F#msus - 244300
A2* - 577600
I'm pretty sure that near the end of the tablature, it isn't 026600 being played but x24400 being played. Not to mention I don't know many people who can span their fingers from the second to the sixth fret.
Not sure about the first part there, but as far as the 2nd to 6th fingering goes, thats the price you kinda have to pay for playing a two guitar intro with one guitar.

this is the b est song in the wourld!!!!! although it is hard at first to play
2 to 6 fret but you get used to it if you use you index fingerand and pinky
well thanks for taking time out of your scedual to help the beginers
this is extremely well done! just a note in case any one is interested:
though NOT TRUE to the original recording there are a few things you can change to make it easier for self-accompaniment, or if you're just a beginner. they all seem to work well with the vocals:
options:
1)use a regular A chord in open position
2)omit suspensions in chords
3)play a B chord instead of a C7 in the bridge
new players can work up to what is there, but more advanced players SHOULD USE the tabs/chord structure that is provided. it is near flawless.
thank you for your hard work! this chart was excellent.
