I think this tab is completely inaccurate on all accounts. If it requires a capo, then why is it not listed here? I know that to play the Michael W. version using normal first position chord shapes, you would likely want to capo the neck at the 3rd fret to play along with his rendition of it.

I know the St. James version is probably harder to tab out and I find playing along with it particularly frustrating, but this tab isn't anything close. Hopefully I can work something out and get back here to post it. For starters, do not use a capo on the intro part.. place your index and 2nd fingers on the first two frets of the first two strings (b and e strings) and place your third finger on the second fret of the g string. Use one continuous downstroke with the pick from the d string all the way down to the high e string. Voila.. a minor chord, which sounds exactly like the first guitar part on this song although it's articulated and you pull off with the index finger before doing the two lower bass notes with the thumb, then pinky finger.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think I'm doing it right either.. I just know that if someone sits down with this tab and strums their guitar, they're not even playing the right notes or chords, making this tab useless.

I think this is extremely accurate. Played with it many many times. The * chords sound really good. Let me know if you think anything different.

Close, tsuei... But if you want it just like the CD (whether you capo up one fret or not), play the following:

Intro
C#m A B % C#m A B E

Verse 1
A B E
Above all powers, above all kings
A B E
Above all nature and all created things
A B C#m
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
F#m A B
You were there before the world began

Verse 2
A B E
Above all kingdoms, above all thrones
A B E
Above all wonders the world has ever known
A B C#m
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
F#m A G# (Major)
There's no way to measure what You're worth

Chorus
C#m A* B* E*
Crucified laid behind a stone
C#m A* B* E*
You lived to die rejected and alone
C#m B F#(major)
Like a rose trampled on the ground
A B E A E A
You took the fall and thought of me above all

Vamp Out on E A E A
