Sounds like the song, but before the third bend, you go E 3rd fret and after the third bend it goes on the A string- 1, 2, 3.

Grapple - 2004-08-03

AND STOP ARGUING, IT'S JUST A SONG!! LEAVE IT TO THE PROS TO PERFECT IT!!!!!!!!

Demon_Hunter - 2004-08-26

hey man, no need to call snizzle a retard, be thankful he came in and pointed somethin out to us. it seems to me you would be the retard for rejecting his correction

Danny-Boy - 2004-09-02

The solo is simple and I submited my version of the song, but I don't know when it will be put up. Please tell me if I'm way off or if it sounds good. it sounded close to me so I hope its usefull.

streetsurvivor8 - 2004-11-21

First of all the songs in Dmaj. D, E, F#, G, A, B, C#. It's played in drop D tuning. Here it goes:

B5 A5 E5 G5 A5
eI------------------------------------------------------------I
bI------------------------------------------------------------I
gI-4-4-4--4b(5)--2-2-2--4b(5)-------4b(5)---------------------I
dI-4-4-4---------2-2-2--------2-2-2--------5-5-5-5-5s7-7------I
aI-2-2-2---------0-0-0--------2-2-2--------5-5-5-5-5s7-7------I
dI----------------------------2-2-2--------5-5-5-5-5s7-7------I

this is the lead, the way my band does it.

eI--------------------------------I
bI--------------------------------I
gI-7-7---7------------------------I
dI-5-4-4-4-4---5--5s7-------------I
aI-----5---5-4-5--5s7-------------I
dI-------------5--5s7-------------I

have fun

Joe Cool69 - 2004-12-17

yor right all the intros on the intro tabs are incorect
yours is incorrect too

Joe Cool69 - 2004-12-17

everyone but u know that the intro is played in power chords
this song is in drop-D
your key of the song is wrong
it is in the key of B not C

Joe Cool69 - 2004-12-17

PS

I gave your tab a 0.0 for being a disgrace to this song

sporsboi - 2004-12-27

hey joe cool69, its the guys first tab...y wud u mention that u gave him a 0.0...if you did that's ur business

sporsboi - 2004-12-27

PS

i gave your tab a 5.0 because Joe Cool69 is a moron

Uncle Sam Dude - 2004-12-30

I love this song and i think you did good on the tab! All of you guys need to stop calling names cause Jesus doesnt think we should call names.

tomhawk - 2005-01-03

yeah name calling needs 2 quit but i got hand it to you sporsboi that was a good one

tomhawk - 2005-01-03

and Joe Cool69 your attitude is that of a 3 year old

mtlmouth - 2005-01-11

If you really are Jon Foreman... which version of the tab is the one you submitted???

reigh - 2005-02-05

Great job you did wonderfully! I like what you have doen here I use a 0 instead of a 1 to note open notes. There are a few other things I would change too. I have been listening to the acoustic version on Winamp and I think instead of a bend they use a hammer on. Play the 4th fret of the d string then hammer on the 5th than replay the 4th (4.5-4). you are right about them using single notes in the intro. the song doesn't sound full enough to be power cords until after the intro. I use a standard tuning and the key of D instead of a drop d tuning.

.=hammer on (pulloff when opposite direction on fret bourd)
#=rest

Intro-

D------4.5-4-----4.5-4-----4.5-4-#-------

The rest of this is an expiriment. I am assuming that the song is diatonic to the D scale (D E Gb G A B Db) meaning all notes are from it.

D_S_R13 - 2005-02-21

Thats a good tab but i play it like this
E---------------------------------------------------------------------------
B---------------------------------------------------------------------------
G---------------------------------------------------------------------------
D---------5(full bend)-------5(full bend)-------5(full bend)----------------
A--3-3-3--------------1-1-1-------------------------------------------------
E---------------------------------------1-1-1------------------4-4--4-4---7-

Play it twice. The ending is a little different but it really doesnt matter i guess

D_S_R13 - 2005-02-21

Holy crap that looks bad. Sorry here it is again the right way

E----------------------------------------------------------------------
B----------------------------------------------------------------------
G----------------------------------------------------------------------
D-------5(full bend)-------5(full bend)-------5(full bend)-------------
A3-3-3--------------1-1-1----------------------------------------------
E-------------------------------------1-1-1------------------4-4--4-4-7
K there i hope it worked right this time

D_S_R13 - 2005-02-21

Alright it didnt work again. Ill try one more time.

E-------------------------------------------------------
B-------------------------------------------------------
G-------------------------------------------------------
D--------5(bend)-------5(bend)-----5(bend)--------------
A--3-3-3---------1-1-1----------------------------------
E----------------------------1-1-1----------4-4--4-4--7-

Abnormwarm - 2005-02-23

D S R13, dude thats the way i play it too but i think you meant at the end...
E|....--4-4--4-4-6-6 (instead of -7-)
I dont know I just think it sounds better
Try it, and post for me to see what you think
GB

Abnormwarm - 2005-02-23

after you play that twice (I think) I play the the little bridge-fill thingy..
A |---5b-5--5-------|
D |--------6-6-5----|
E |--------------6b-|
(half-step)
So, I thkin thats some what how you paly it
It sounds OK
GB

Hahathefunnyone - 2005-03-13

Here's how i play the intro...

e|-------------------------
B|-------------------------
G|--------0[let ring]--222-0 [keep the bend up dont come back down]
D|-4-4-4--4b-----------222-4b
A|-2-2-2-------------------
D|-------------------------

e|-------------------------
B|-------------------------
G|-------0[let ring]-------
D|-222--4b-------------222/4
A|-222-----------------222/4
D|---------------------222/4 [repeat as needed]

just a note one the first bend, bend it up then back down to regual position, then and the sencond, just bend up, then on the third same as the first...while the G|--0-- is ringing through out

Hahathefunnyone - 2005-03-13

verse in drop d

D|-2-0-4-0-2-0-4/5\4---2-0-4-0-2-0-4/5/7
A|-2-0-4-0-2-0-4/5\4---2-0-4-0-2-0-4/5/7
D|-2-0-4-0-2-0-4/5\4---2-0-4-0-2-0-4/5/7 i think D is easier to play...I'll tab the chorus later..Spring break is through...argh

dude amazing job u did on this tab its one of the best i've seen in a long time for this song

pigment - 2005-08-22

how do u do a full bend?

Skillet-Rocks - 2005-08-22

I'm not sure what power chords are. o.O

But, great job on it. It sounded right on my guitar.

Mar-T - 2005-09-16

What's a drop-D?

underoath1985 - 2005-09-24

OK first off i would like to say im sorry this was my first tab. I realize it sucks. but at that point i hadent been a very good guitar player. i must tell you joe cool that you are a jerk and you dont know music theory at all. this song is in the key of E allthough i wrote it out in a key that i can sing it in better. you tell what key something is in by the chords in the song and what family they are in. this song goes from b to a to e thats not the key of b. the right intro tab is here
E---------------------------------------------------------------------------
B---------------------------------------------------------------------------
G---------------------------------------------------------------------------
D--4-4-4-4FULLBEND--2-2-2-4FULLBEND--2-2-2-4FULLBEND--5-5--5-5--------------
A--2-2-2------------0-0-0------------2-2-2------------5-5--5-5--------------
D------------------------------------2-2-2------------5-5--5-5--------------

thanks everyone i originally tabbed this and thanks for all of you who were so cool about others of you suck ie.......joe not so cool

jmonique - 2005-10-06

hey i dont think thats right i plaued it and it sounds like way off. just trying to help i could be wrong anyways well why dont you try it this way instead?it sounds right to me i got it from a friend at school
-----------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------
-4-4-4--4-5-4-------4-5-4--2-2-2--4-5-4--5-7---
-2-2-2--------0-0-0--------2-2-2---------5-7---
---------------------------2-2-2---------5-7---

^-----------------repeat---------------^ ---------
---------
---------
5-5-5-5-7
5-5-5-5-7
5-5-5-5-7

then you would play the solo which i dont know wut it is.
and on the 454 part you would just slide it back and forth instead of bending.

hope you guys think this is right. correct me if its not please.

monique is outie!!!
