Actually, if you look at Matt Redman's CD and do any type of search on the internet you find out that Matt Redman DID write this song with his wife Beth. Tim Hughes is awesome, but he didn't write this sweet song.

I would have to agree with fivestone, Matt and Beth Redman wrote this song, but Tim hughes does preform it at many of his concerts. The CD Soul Survivor Live 2002:Glimpes of glory, has Blessed be your name being sang by tim hughes so that can make it confusing, but Matt and Beth redman did write this song.

the song was written by matt and beth redman, tim hughes sung it on the album glimpse of glory for some reason, and tim hughes sings various songs that he did not write, but then again many worship leaders do
