I have seen a couple of versions of this song but none of them seemed to
correct.  This is what I came up with.  It is not every note of the song
but it will get you started.  Just listen to the CD, tune your guitar to
Drop-D, and have fun.  The only thing that is not there is the little
bridge part.  If you want it, e-mail me.  It’s just a D  G w/ B in the
bass and some other funky chords.  E-mail me please if you like it.  You
could also play the little hammer-on as a bend if you like.  I think that

btw, the discrepncy between 244 and 355 chords is due to the fact that the guitar on the recording is half a step off from each. go with what you will, 2 4 4 is probably easiest, so just take what i have and what saltythedog has and above this reply and lower it half a step. but its definately off from both 2 and 3 (according to guitar pro ;), speaking of which, i put it into guitar pro so if you want the file email me at thesuperjesus@gmail.com, its only the intro, the rest of it is on here)

Ok this is by far the best tab for this song iv seen in a while and iv been playing for a while. Ok lets see where to start only a few minor corrections really cause you are right on just about..... ok to start with the um (h4p5 4)... yea whatever u can do that or you can just bend the string 4^ (this may be the same thing or sound the same or whatever i dont really know i dont usually see it written like that but try a 4^ bend

Ok next thing on verse its supposed to be played 4-0-0-2-0-0-4-0-0-4-5-4 ect... (you got a little 0 happy lol : )

AND THIS IS THE LAST AND MOST IMPORTANT THING!!!! ok this is a rule of thumb for all guitarist when playing this song... ok you dont have to play this song in drop D if you know how to make it work. When I play in gigs and for church groups it used to take me a sec to switch from standard to drop D in tuning between songs but here is how you would play in standard tuning (basically the same just a little variation... if you have been playing for anytime and understand the notes you will understand why this works)... ok...

for the intro you keep it the same until you come to third part of it where u have the

... by the way for new guitarist and old experienced guitarist who have never tooken the time to look at notes really closely this all works because of the relationship between the string "E" and the note "D" ... if you even get bored you should consider hooking up your tuner and hitting every fret on every string on the guitar to see its tune... its helps explain alot... you will see why this works and the patterns...
