a capo is a device used to raise the "pitch" (for lack of better word) of the guitar...you can find one at any local music store!

This is one of my favoraite songs by casting crowns. The words definately helped, too. Thanks, zgporter. I love the message of this song, and I can't wait to try it out!
NC means no chord. So just mute your guitar strings with your fretting hand and strum the strings to make that nice percussive noise.
Get a Kyser quick-change capo if you can, they rock.
And as nice as it is to have the lyrics, I didn't even see them there until after I'd nutted out the song. The trick is to play the CD while you have the chords there in front of you and try to play along :)
Does anyone know what kinda amps and effects these guys use? I have a line6 PODxt Live I use and I always have a hard time finding patches for christian songs so I just make my own to emulate specific guitar rigs. I just cant find a good distortion that is close to what you hear on this song.
Please please stop relying on the capo. Learn to play the guitart without one. You can play any one of the chords you see here without the capo they are called bar chords. Please stop relying on the capo. I have seen Casting crowns seven times in concert and I have never seen eith er of the guitarists play with a capo once. I'm not criticizing I truly am not for I appreciate everyone's effort here, however it is frustrating for me to see that no one seems to know how to play in the Key it was written wothout using a capo and playing "Cowboy Chords."
Thanks for the capo chords. I've been playing for 12 years and can play all the bar chords, but with the huge song sets I do playing with the capo gives me a break.
