The Beautiful Letdown
Switchfoot

An Alternate Version:
(at least different fingering)

/ = slide

Several things:
First, the slide from 7/10 can also be done as a tenth chord, where one slides
from 9-10 on the E, and then plays the major tenth, followed by the minor tenth
a step down (I think it sounds better)

Verse
----|-----------------11—9--|-----------------------11—-9-
----|-----------------------|----------------------------
5-7-|-----55-7--------------|----5---5--5-7---------------
----|-0-7------0-9/10-10—9--|0-7---7--------0-9/10--10--9-

Bridge
----------------------------------------
-----11---------14------11--------------
--11----11-h12------11------11--9-------
----------------------------------------

Chorus
--------------------------------------
--------------------------------------
---------5-5-5-5-4-0-------------4-5--
0-0--5-7-------------0-5-7---5-7------

Everyother time he has an extra C# in transition back to the begining of the
phrase. Once you hit half way, Tim begins to play with the formula, but these
are the basics as it seems to me.

He hits a B on the A string before entering into the Chorus again 2 minutes in.

The next time he comes to the Verse, he changes the pattern begining with the
open E:

at 3 minutes,
-----------------—--------|
-----------------77-------|
-----55-7-----5-----77----|
-0-7------0-7-—---------0-|

He does the above twice, then the E-E (0 on E to 7 on A), followed by:

------------------------------------------|
------------------------------------------|
-----------------7/-----5---5----7--------|
--3333--555-570-------7---7----------0h---|
